I have noticed it is uncommon here to have your keys on a lanyard. Why is that? I find it very practical. I use it to tie around my right belt loop making it impossible for me to lose them, and if I am opening a locked door while carrying things (as I am often doing), I can simply drop the keys after unlocking the door, and free up that hand. It also makes it easier for me to pull them out of my pocket in a pinch.

Probably more often then not. Flashlight just one press of a button, while phone, gotta go through a little bit more steps. Flashlights are obviously much brighter and cover more area then a simple phone flashlight, and carry more features and can survive longer. You can kinda say the same for watches, why not just use your phone?
