They're both excellent. I'd recommend the GvFC Classic personally. They're handmade in Germany, and the nibs are individually run in by hand. Not a lot of websites carry them, but if you find one I'd say buy it.

I use the pencil for math, the pens for everything else.

I'd recommend the pencil were it not so expensive. I like it, but it's not worth paying $400 for a pencil.

Fountain pens are fine, it's just a fucking pen. They feel good to write with and you can pick your own ink and they're nicer quality than most ballpoints. I've never had one leak, but it's true that some of them don't hold a lot of ink and sometimes mine will dry out if I don't use it for a few days depending on what type of ink it has in it.
