got a new bag for spring semester, it is a cheap bag from amazon made in china was about $23 USD.

How good/bad is it? It is kind of like a rut-sack and has a laptop compartment and plenty of storage.

Gf just got me one of these as a gift. I don't want to use it because honestly the materials and straps feel like shit, and I don't see the hype girls have with these bags. I feel bad she spent $80 and she's not that well off. I'd rather she had bought me a $20 jansport and just saved her money.

I'll probably end up using it since I don't want to seem ungrateful, but damn it feels worse than the seabag I used when I was in the military.

Good bag. The inside has a laptop compartment and the main compartment. The main compartment has a smallish zipper pocket. The part against your lower back has a zipper pocket as well. Due to the lack of sections and pockets on the inside i can only recommend it if you dont have much to carry. You can't carry anything round our the pack will bulge. Also, you can't carry a water bottle. The straps add a rather unique look imo. Another point of interest is the fact that the zippers are branded by the same company who made the bag. Ive never seen that before.

Is there a fucking backpack that will fit a 17" laptop and not look like shit??
I was backing this kickstarter project and the company advertised the bag to fit 17", but it turns out it won't even fit a fucking 15.3"
so I'm now on the market again. any recomendations?

Ja, but I'll also pay 45% import tax on any clothing/shoes/accessories coming from outside of the country. It's absolute hell down here.

Fucking hell. Rains won't be blessed down in Africa.

So, are there any stores in your neighbourhood that import good stuff or are you generally stuck with basic fits?

Toppest of keks. We have all the big brands, designer labels and fast fashion places. Some smaller stores with slightly niche labels as well (CDG, that kinda stuff) but it's still tough and overly expensive to dress well. Lots of things can't be bought here though. It's beyond annoying.

>> No.13954087

>>13954079

That sucks, man. Makes a lot of sense, though, as I assume the stores have to pay that ridiculous tax as well.

I'm going on a two week trip to Japan in February. I'm looking at backpacks to take, and I can't decide whether I should get a nice backpack like the Nomatic ones in pic related or if I should just settle for something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XZTZ7GB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_pN.iCb4S7P663

Like do I really need to spend 170+ on a backpack? Or am I being ridiculous..? The trip is already kind of expensive right? It'd be nice to have one I can also use if I decide to go back to school, but I'm not sure. Thoughts?

I backpacked like 10 countries, I would say are useless.

Just get a normal backpack. I used a 20l Gorock SD20 but anything is fine really. My gf swaps between cheap backpacks whenever she doesn't like the styles anymore, she's been to 20+ countries over 5 years and never spends more than $10 on a backpack.
