It's even more if you provide escort service for rich horny old men.

annually, we don’t make a lot. sure, i make about $40 an hour when I do work, but all lost in hotel and flight costs, but it’s not like it’s a daily job. plus my agency commission is about 16-17%

How much money does a (professional) model make OP? I really don’t know.

>>13932065
That’s not much. Does a professional full time model make the same amount?

not that much. I modeled in Mexico a few years ago and I did some TV spots with Gabriela Spanic and some runway stuff.
You don't get paid a steady wage. Depends on the jobs you do. I made about $500 per job which is the avg monthly wage in Mexico.
I'll assume it's like this elsewhere and if you score 2-3 jobs a month you can make about 3x the average salary of wherever you are.
It's tiring work. I don't know many lines of work where you are constantly interviewing for jobs. Interviewing is a huge part of it, in fact.
Lots of driving around to casting calls.
People usually don't do that work for the money unless they are at the top. It's for the perks.
You meet very interesting people, you get to travel sometimes and you get to be around lots of attractive women.
This is a good environment to be in and if you are smart and lucky, you might be able to parry it in to something else.

What does it take to be a male model?
It seems to be more than just looking good, because a lot of the models I see nowadays don't have that squared jaw and massive chin like you see in superhero movies or whatever.

modelling isn't really full time unless you're a supermodel or popping on instagram. it adds up during fashion week since you have lots of fittings and rehearsals. i've squeezed out 1k+ out of a single gig a few times, so if you got like 2 during each fw you're good.

check out tomorrow is another day agency. you don't have to be good looking. for european fashion, you really have to be skinny, tall, good skin and hair. i'm not "classical" handsome that you'd see in perfume ads or 80s-90s armani runway shows. i look like a faggot

Sounds fun though, you go to cool places and get hotels

I'm the OP,
Reason im asking is because i have a lot of friends who are models and some of them seem to be doing quiet well while others arent , there's no middle ground. I feel like itd be rude to ask "how much do you make?"

>> No.13933507

If I think I may have a shot at being a model (6'2, 155 lbs, black hair with blue eyes) how would I go about looking into agencies and specifically avoiding scams? I know there are tons of predatory places that'll end up siphoning off way more money from you than they ever pay back, how do you distinguish between these and the legit ones? I live in Atlanta if it matters.
