I kind of want a nice black boot but I don't want to spend more than 150 and Golden Fox doesn't make any black ones. Thought about Desert Mali Clarks. Are they that bad for a nice budget boot?

Fun fact. Broguing was originally introduced to let water out of shoes while wearing them on Scottish bogs. These days the holes are decorative and as the previous poster says, punched into the cap leather, not base, and don't let water in or out.

Please Anons i really need your help, these are my first boots :(
I got these for 60% off and i love them a lot, getting a lot of compliments and they complete my style.
My right foot is a bit bigger than my left one and i think theyre too small. I always get blisters with new shoes, so i cant really tell how bad it is, walking hurts anyways.
Should i keep them, i.e. will it get better when the leather shapes around my foot?
If not, how do i refurbish them so i can get my money back?
Can you direct me to shoes that look similar?
Exchanging for a bigger size is not an option, i cant find them anywhere.

the roughout leather looks really slim which is probably nice paired with the lining

this is a roughout suede which is different than the waxed flesh gaining popularity
these will probably scuff up really nicely so either you'll let them get rugged or if you get a suede brush and some wax you could maintain them

Someone blackpill me on Chelsea boots since I only ever wear dad sneakers.

I’m in UK, early 20s, 5’11, fairly muscular, can I pull them off or do I need to be tall and thinner?
I saw some nice black suede ones but I’m not sure if I’ll be making a mistake.

Can suede be coated so it doesn’t turn to shit?

Also, are there unironically any fits with sweatpants/cargos and Chelsea boots like Kanye but someone else?

I advise against it. My mom told me how my uncle bought Solovair boots back when I was a baby and mentioned he would like them more without that little pull tab at the back. About 2 weeks later, he disappeared. The investigators opened his apartment and just found a pair of scissors near his closet that was suspicious. At first they suspected a possible murder, but the scissors were not stained with blood or anything confirming this suspicion. To this day, nobody has ever seen a trace of him again. Over the decades, there were rumors of him living incognito somewhere in SEA, but those were never confirmed either. Anon, I would not touch that tab if I were you. Be safe.

By the way, what does /fa/ think of these boots?

You're sort of fucked. Leather CAN stretch, but doesn't have to. Especially in length it's difficult.

Much has been said already. This is probably the best idea to avoid you fucking them up further: >>13915922

Another option is to use the classic methods. Take a blow dryer and heat up the toe area, then take a sturdy broom and stick it in the boots with the tip pressing against that area. Now yank, squeeze and brutalize the boot to stretch it out. Afterwards apply leather conditioner to soften that area up and to prevent it from getting too dry. Then repeat the whole action. Heat, broom, cream. Heat, broom, cream.....

But honestly this mainly works for wearing the leather in, to make it comfy, not to extend the size of the whole shoe bed. My personal advice is to forget about it. You will only get frustrated. Learn from this and buy the right size next time.

Hey /boot/, so I managed to cop some 7EE White’s Natural CXL’s during their 20% off Black Friday sale. When I sent my tracings in, the people at White’s told me my left foot was a 6.5F and right was a 6 FFF. So I assume with the added length should compensate for the width difference.

So my question is, since they come in tommorrow is a) should I condition them straight out of the box with Saphir and brush and b) if it doesnt fit right what brands do offer something for my clown feet?

Ironically those look more like 'real' authentic moccasins than the standard moc toe boot, which are more designed like a modern homage slipper moccasin.

Still, it gets me when people call moc toe boots ugly because its a functional design. They weren't made to look good. I blame Red Wing for including them in their high end Heritage line, because they started the trend of expensive moc toe boots marketed as a fashion item when its plain to see that they're butt ugly. I work in a warehouse in moc toes because I've found that they're the most comfortable design for being on your feet all day.
