I lived over there for a few years, and if you want to fit in dress kind of smart casual. Or you could just stop being a pussy and where what you want.

>Earth tones, neutral colors, dark blues and greens
>Plain sweaters
>Heavy cotton or Oxford shirts
>Golf or polo shirts
>Black or brown boots and shoes, simple sneakers
>Black and gray coats
>Wool and cotton pants, tapered chinos, black or dark blue jeans
>Beanies, but not a lot of baseball caps

its 90% full of asian students. only notable fashion is your usual alt teenagers in full charity shop garb. asians wear their shitty lux/hype stuff and thats it really. should get better few new shops opening in the westgate like flannels uo etc.

Well I go to a Dutch uni and most people wear generic trash and the /fa/ crowd just thrifts and wears retro shit like corduroy jackets.

>> No.13897215

Are you American? Somehow I doubt someone as insecure and with such poor grasp of how to type will be studying here, but whatever

You won't be judged by the standards of the actual students, since you're visiting, so just don't be actively unhygienic or obnoxious and I doubt anyone will care or notice you. Also, you will need a suit/tie for formal dinners or drinks, and if you want to go to any parties worth going to you'll need a dinner suit

Not to imply that Oxford students have particularly high standards of dress (90% are generic plebeians)

Nigga I live in oxford, just wear your usual style. I have never seen any students around in anything special.
The jeans are good bc that’s more or less me but like super skinny with a band or plain t shirt.
As long as it fits together well you’ll be fine

Any italy /fa/gs here? I'll be studying in Florence the first half of next year, and am trying to put together a basic wardrobe. I'd like to not have to think too hard about what to wear, as I know I'm going to come across as American no matter what, but would like to make an effort anyways. What do I need, a few oxfords, some polos, a few nice t shirts, and a couple pair of fitted pants? My clothes now are all pretty much black/muted anyways so that should be fine. Can I wear Chuck's? Should I just not give a shit? I'm told I dress well often but I'm from the Midwest so the bar is about as low as it gets. Thanks anons
