They’ve all been used, they’re lying on their side, so it looks like most of them are full. There are a bunch that are like 75%+ full, but everything gets worn from time to time.

I basically wear everything. I just open my cupboard every morning and grab whatever I’m feeling in the mood for. Sometimes I wind up wearing the same thing for like a week, sometimes it’s something different every day.

When I travel, I generally bring Creed MI, though. The bottle in that pic is new, I just opened it before this past trip. I’ve had 2 bottles before that one. I bring that one when I travel because it’s safe, people seem to like it a lot on me, and it still smells sophisticated and expensive enough that I don’t smell cheap.

Thanks guys. I'm about to order a new batch after Christmas and experiment with perfumers alcohol and making EdP/EdT out of them myself. Sillage of some of these oils is great, but there's some room for improvement here with others. In particular all of them have ridiculous longevity (and I mean by this surviving 12h + shower), so trading some it for sillage by adding alcohol would be a very good deal. Will keep you updated.

>>13857130
It’s not bad. I mostly bought it because it was door crasher on FragranceBuy and I got it for like 15.00. I was ordering something else and figured fuck it, why not?

It’s kind of like Aventus, but no pineapple and more citrus. Has this candy-sweet orange/lemon note in the opening. Smells nice enough once it dries, though there are certainly better Aventus clones out there. It’s nice, I wear it sometimes, but it’s nothing super special.

The bottle’s fuzzy, though, so that’s nice.

Interesting stuff. It’s kind of linear, the opening has a fair bit of tonka and brandy, then that stuff kind of falls off and it’s mostly amber and sandalwood. Nice enough, I wear it from time to time, but I don’t absolutely love it. The bottle’s cool as hell, though, (the stag head is metal, not plastic) so I’m happy with it.

That's quite an esoteric topic to be fair. There's a thread dedicated to Arabian Oils on fragrantica forum, but it's dominated by middle-aged housewives. You'll also find some single threads about Swiss Arabian/Surrati dupes on basenotes. But that's pretty much everything I've found after hours of researching them. That's how the semi-official retailer website which accessible to westerners looks like
http://www.rehaat.com/perfumes/
Judging from it I wouldn't expect much info on this topic. However, I bet there is more info on Arabian site of the web which is unaccessible to us.

Was anyone here ever obsessed with Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs on one point? Before they went full social justice shill, I was really into ordering their perfume oils as a teen. I have no idea how I found them but the nerd appeal was real. I think when you are really young you just hate the strong heady alcohol cloud surrounding perfume culture so something more gentle and pure is really appealing. A lot of the times it was just about buying a bunch of sample "imps" and smelling them with friends. The were doing their own extractions and hand-blending in America long before that was a thing.

Yeah I was willing to forgive some liberal leanings, but I had to draw the line when they made "Nasty Woman" for fucking Hillary Clinton. Even if you hate trump and are a liberal, making a perfume for a literal fucking murderer is just horrible business.

I have lived pretty much everywhere but the NE and I can't even remember coming across a guy other than my grandpa and I have a pretty sensitive nose and a man wearing a nice or awful cologne would certainly stick out. Granted I never go clubbing or to parties.

I did smell a few guys in France who were certainly wearing, though.

cologne isn't a common as you'd think. most people really don't care how they smell, and if they do have a bit of interest, they usually go for a body spray. most can't justify dropping 100+ bones on a quality juice. there's other shit to spend their money on. like another pair of shoes or jacket.

Like it has the fruits, citrus, and currant notes going one way and then the woods, leather, and vanilla going in a very different and unharmonious way. That, and also I find the fruits to be a little too "jammy" or thickly sweet sometimes. Otherwise I think ~$100 for a 4oz bottle of this frag, which projects and lasts, is a really good deal. Testers are absolutely not diluted. Why would they be? They’re what stores use to try to get you to buy something. You wouldn’t give out free samples at a restaurant that taste like watered-down shit, because no one would come in and eat.

Testers are exactly the same as any other bottle. Maybe you got a fake bottle, maybe you got a tester that was really old and stored improperly, I don’t know, but the notion that testers are watered down is just plain false.

From what I've one wearing, LdDM is my favorite of the bunch, i find Au Coeur too sweet for me. I was also surprised because a lot of people (e.g. Fragrancebros) complain that it's too potent and dry a fragrance, but I really enjoyed it. Lonesome rider is also very nice too, if a bit idiosyncratic in its take on leather, which I wouldn't say is a bad thing. Tauer is having a sale on a few fragrances at $99, so I might snag L'air.
>Do any of you wear Tauer perfumes?
>Do any of you even LIKE his fragrances?
>Any thoughts on Tauer as a person?
Despite obviously being gayer than Tom of Finland, he seems very down to earth and respectable, and I like that he does everything himself.

I suppose there's a hint of urinal cakes in the opening, but that doesn't stop it from smelling really nice.

It's a polarizing scent though, but so far every critic has been a generic dude wearing a generic fragrance and generic clothes. Aside from the hate it also got me compliments unlike any other frag. Just two weeks ago someone literally moved her chair closer to me because she loved it so much.

So fuck the haters. I'd rather smell amazing and have a small portion of people think I pissed my pants.

You're probably a student judging from your selection, so beware I don't mean buying 100ml of all of above but rather to test them for plenty of times, maybe buy one or two just to have any means of comparison later on your frag journey.

When I first got into fragrances, I bought up everything I could get my nose on. Even shit I didn't particularly like I bought cause I figured it was different from other things in my collection. It got to a point where I was close to 100 bottles deep and I made the decision to just sell off or give a lot of them away. it'd take me 5 lifetimes over to use everything I had, especially since I tend to underspray because my nose gets irritated if I went over 4 sprays on pretty much anything. Only time in my life that I got obsessed with anything and irrationally bought with no hesitation.

I have both and love both. SWY is like a sweeter, less smoky version of By The Fireplace but you can definitely pick up the nutty hazelnut in the drydown. Prive has become one of my absolute favorite autumn frags. It's sweet, cinnamon apple with incense. There's nothing really that stands out about it, but it's just so delicious smelling. Get both. Both perfect for winter.

Opinions on Giorgio men? It's dirty cheap, has a reasonable rating on fragrantica and quite interesting notes (patchoulli + honey + vetiver). I'd consider adding it to my collection, since I don't have anything similar to it. However, from reviews it seems to be some /boomer/-core.

Thanks for the tip. I am a student and I found that from all the cheap frags that I tested so far these are the ones that I liked the most, Encre Noir being on top. I have smelled most of the fragrances that you mentioned and I really liked Terre d'Hermes as a summer fragrance (ik it's been discussed here since forever) and Spicebomb since I've smelled it on our mayor. It's not that I don't like the fragrances that you mentioned, but I don't know what clothes to wear with them, I feel they're too sophisticated for me; I've smelled most of the frags in your list on +30 y/o men...

Just bought my first fragrance. Did I fuck up?

I wanted something inoffensive to wear in a professional setting and I think bleu noir is just the right fit. It's also fitting for fall/winter and I'm starting to love the combination of cardamom and vetiver. To me, it is similar to Terre d'Hermes in the drydown, but TdH gives me a headache around hour 3-4, because the orange smell is so strong and I don't really like edible smells.
