I have a pair. Even broken in, they aren't comfortable at all. The leather in the foot bed is too hard and around the ankle is too stiff.
You'll need very thick socks to get them anywhere near comfy and at that point, sizing becomes a bit more dicey. Overall, they fit true to size, but may want to size up to accommodate thicker socks.

I received some Timberlands a couple years ago and never wore them besides a couple times. I need a reliable boot for this winter Im spending in Japan so I pulled my Timberlands out and they're comfy until I start walking. Once I start walking they rub too hard into my ankle. I found this pic of someone with a similar problem. Its too late to return them, Anyone had a similar issue? My thickest socks dont seem to prevent the rubbing/pain. Ive ordered a pair of thicker socks to try those. Otherwise can I safely just start cutting that notch out, it connects the tongue to the shoe.

Thursday is a brand that cuts every corner possible to make their product cheap while marketing it as really good. It's made in Mexico of cheap ripoff chromexcel leather, rather than just use real chromexcel from Horween, so it creases really fast and gets unattractive loose grain. They dotnt use actual Date soles because that's too expensive so they use their own version which is really soft and wear out a lot faster. They cut corners with the building and are notorious for loose threads, uneven stitching, toe caps not being symmetrical and more.
They have a crazy marketing team i affectionately call the TIDF that go to every site you can think of and spam 5 star reviews and delete any review saying bad things about their boots. They delete posts on social media saying anything bad about their stuff, block people on social media speaking out and overall are just super shady.

I like some of their styles and they're pretty cheap, but i can't justify supporting a company like that. I'm sure I'll get 10 replies from the TIDF attacking me for this post since I'm sure they lurk here. Whatever.

Thursday is made in Mexico of ripoff chromexcel leather, I'd need to double check but AE uses real chromexcel from Horween and is made in America.

I use saddle soap, has no visible effect on the leather colour wise.
If you don't want them to darken then also avoid polishes with silicon/silicone (I forget which it is) as this can darken the leather as well
