I'm 5'1 female. Two weeks ago I was 120 pounds and now I am 110/109. It seems like I lose at least a pound a day now. Usually when I wake up I drink coffee on an empty stomach which makes me nauseated and unable to eat anything. I'm trying to get down to 90 pounds. Any way to do this quicker? Take methylphenidate when i feel like it. Definitely suppresses appetite, just like adderall does. found out that for myself appetite, especially intense hunger moment, is mostly a mental thing. after resisting the urge to eat, the intensity lowers

compare it to a addiction. to succeed in getting rid of it, you have win the battle against the urge whenever it comes up (of course within medical standards). addiction suppressants can help, like adderall, nicotine or caffeine for hunger. the easiest thing you can do is to make sure you have a variety of low-caloric foods handy when you get home or go to bed.

Metabolism is mostly a meme, the differences are marginal in terms of CICO. IF helps because of caloric restriction and your body burning fat in the restricted eating windows in case your glycogen is all used up, it will also make you more alert because your body isn't busy with digestion, but it won't make your metabolism either slow down or speed up. Laxatives are really bad for you, you get bloated from them, your destroy your beneficial gut flora and they’re dangerous in the long term because you can get magnesium deficiencies and become dependent on them for bowel movement.
In addition they don’t work that well, sure you’ll be a few pounds lighter, mainly from dehydration, but it’s not actually making you skinny. Most of the nutrients are absorbed too early for laxatives to work.

I have lived at places all over Europe and I've never seen that happen

but I'd recommend forest fruit(without sugar) that one's really nice when it is cold, basically any green tea with or without all the possible flavours (lemon at least), just black or earl grey, maybe with like a teaspoon of milk because this will make you feel much fuller and those calories won't hurt you.
Anything with herbs and spices is supposed to be good for light detoxing and shit but when you don't eat much and drink those, you could get nauseous as hell.

I've been vegetarian for a pretty long time, but since I started skipping dairy, about four weeks ago I reckon, my skin got considerably better, but in turn I'm sometimes binging on apples and grapes, invariably leading to purging, a habit I'm not trying to develop.

Anyone able to recommend good scales? My idea of what constitutes a decent scale: accurate, high built quality, (maybe: mechanical?)
My family kind of hid the bathroom scales of our household because, and I really want to calc current my kg/m^2.

- exercise: running (every other day, about 7km, about 14km/h), push ups (22 per day), squats (35 per day), planks (1 minute), side planks (30 secs for each side)

Today was a good day (pic related). I don't use oil for my cooking anymore, I've taken to just steaming/boiling the veggies instead. Feels good.

Does anyone else reckon that there's a certain sense of reciprocal sympathy between persons who are also restricting heavily, or at least skinny? Might be coworkers with characteristic eating habits, or acquaintances with certain physiognomic characteristics, it does not matter.
Sometimes everything connected with weightlessness feels like a not-so-secret secret club to me. It makes me experience a special kind of solidarity.
I know that all this sounds rather vapid but for some reason I perceive this, be it an imaginary or real phenomenon, as an almost spiritual part of my life.
I think one explanation for this might be that other skinnies help me to stay motivated, plus the fact that I might be a slight contribution to the motivation of others without actually doing anything explicitly is comforting. It essentially amounts to solidarity and warmth without the social protocols attached to it, which makes it a perfect communicative outlet for socially/mentally "troubled" people.
Even if you are able to debunk my hypothesis, I'll still stay this way, though, for the collarbones.

How's it going today for everyone? I've had 500 kcals today, ingested as a protein shake, milk, a handful of frozen raspberries and the end slice of a whole grain bread. I've had a pretty inactive day for the first time in forever, but I think it's for the better, in order to give my muscles a little break. I slept until 9, went for a run, and went back home and napped for three hours. Then I sat down for another two and this evening I'll spend cleaning and going grocery shopping. Tomorrow is weighing day and I expect to be down by 1-2 lbs since last weighing day, which was friday. Maybe more, if my water weight is tipping the scale. Literally. :)

I find it varies a lot from day to day how hard it is to stay below 700. I haven't struggled today, but it's not really hard when you spend the day sleeping. I might go to a dance later, where I might feel hungry. I wouldnt mind about having another 300 tonight, but I just don't know what it should be. I've had plenty of vegetables the last few days, and plenty of protein and essential fats. Maybe I'll have spinach with some vegetable broth just...because. I find I feel pretty weak after a day of only 500 kcals, as well as I sleep somewhat poorly. And I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow, so staying at 500 today wouldn't be worth it at all.
bodybuilder.com says my BMR is 1400. I'm not sure I believe it, and nor do I care much. It's unacceptable to be sedentary, so I aways keep active for x period of time each day. I believe my minimum leaves me at 1700 kcals, but I suspect the last couple of weeks I've averaged at 2100.
Also, don't nap for cozyness. It's a slippery slope. Before you know it it'll be a cycle of not eating, then wanting to nap because you're not nourished and rested, then not eating because you don't feel like you've earned it, repeat. That way you'll lower your metabolism and become *gasp* skinnyfat. So for the love of god, don't nap unless you plan to stay up late or slept for shit. Don't do it as default. It's a waste of life. And sorry if I read too much into it :P
