Fucking Jesus Christ, have some respect for yourself, it legitimately pisses me off to see people so insecure and defend themselves right out the gate like that. You've got a nice face. I don't think that style on the girl in the picture would suit you well. The length, the texture, and the color wouldn't work at all on you. Is there a filter on your picture? Are you really light skinned or biracial? Assuming you're at least partially black you've got the benefit of having nice curly hair. I'm sure it's a hassle to deal with, especially if you want straight hair to the point where you want to perm it. Which you shouldn't do by the way, that shit will ruin your hair, and having healthy hair that you have to straighten when you want is much better than having fried hair that you have to curl when you want.

I think something short might work well. It's got a lot to do with matching your face and accentuating your features. I know the shoulder length hair you already have is pretty short but if you went a bit shorter and were more prominent with your bangs you could add some nice volume to the top and front. Don't get me wrong though, a pixie cut wouldn't work either, but a nice middle ground with something neck length, or an A line bob could work. If you're dead set on having longer hair then you might want to just tough it out and keep growing it. I think forking out the cash for a really nice cut and consolation with a fancy hairdresser would be well worth your time.

I've tried a few different hairstyles/lengths over the years, but I'm still not quite sure which I should try to go with. I think my browline is too prominent and forehead too large for the long-hair look, and long hair in general is difficult to care for.

No. Both me and my boyfriend tried it for a few months, he did it much longer than I did. It just made my hair have greasy patches. It gave him a fungal infection on his scalp that took a few weeks worth of ACV rinses to cure. My hair is kind of fine and straight, his is thick and curly on the ends. Issa meme. It really depends on your hair type. Me and my bf both use Nature's Gate Calming Shampoo and it seems to work for both our hair types. He'll occasionally use a Paul Mitchell clarifying shampoo bc he's prone to buildup. Now that it's winter I'm about to switch to a more moisturizing Proclaim shea butter shampoo. Conditioner we use is Shea Moisture 10-in-1 Renewal system. And be sure to to only shampoo your scalp and only condition your ends.

OP here. Well idk how your hair specifically is going to behave as I have no experience with permed curly hair, but my curls tend to get dried and frizzy. Basically what I do is only shampoo once or a couple times a week, as shampoo can be drying. Everyday, I rinse my hair thoroughly and use a conditioner meant for curly hair. Once I comb it through, I then rinse it out. Next I use a mousse which helps maintain the shape of the curl and tames the frizz. Last I use a leave-in conditioner to really moisturize it. I either use a wide-tooth comb or paddle brush to evenly distribute the hair product and to detangle (it gets very tangled too). I only comb/brush when wet; doing it when dried can make it frizzy.

My go-to products are the TRESemmé Flawless Curls Conditioner, TRESemmé Flawless Curls Mousse, and Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream. You can pick them up at Walmart or a drugstore. The leave-in conditioner is usually in the ethnic hair aisle. For shampoo, it doesn't matter that much to me, but the TRESemmé Flawless Curls one might be good too.

Does anyone have inspo for a "taper" type haircut that isn't skin short on the sides, but isn't super long on the top, and maybe with no product in it? I have super straight flaxen blonde hair, and this type of haircut works well for me, but I have trouble finding pictures on google that aren't "that" haircut. you know the very long top with very short sides cut. Barbers also assume I want this cut when I try to ask for what I really want.

I got side bangs cut about a month and a half ago. I liked them the first few weeks but now they look very emo and messy, I'm not keen on styling my hair so I think they would look better if I blow dryed them - - but I'd rather not have every time I leave the house. Well if you're growing out your hair, you don't want to do too much to it. Just be healthy in general: drink plenty of water, sleep 8 hours, eat properly, take biotin (lots of girls use it to grow hair).
