I think that this is a bait thread but most of the most popular rolex watches have a waiting list. Basically they keep the supply lower than the demand in order to create fake hype/scarce over their most desirable products.
Yes you can go to the store and buy a rolex but they are a basic watch (the datejust) or a more desirable watch but precious metal(costs way more money than the steel version). The classic sport watches in steel have a waiting list.

Idk I live in Italy and I see GMTs daytonas and subs all over in luxury shops' windows. In Lugano Switzerland I've seen a rolex store so full of them it was unreal, they were literally throwing them at you.

Where I live you can easily find brand new 2 tone and precious metal subs and daytonas. But brand new steel sport watches are impossible to find. Some of the models like the hulk, steel daytona you can easily flip them for double, the problem is finding them for retal. They are not rare, just rolex playing the cards right.
