I thought the 90s meme was coming to an end after all of these years of people spamming this kind of bullshit on WAYWT and inspo threads, but the turbonormies are just starting to pick it up. Hell, even Reebok is reproducing the Aztreks and they're all in bullshit 90s colorways. When will it end? What is the next stage?

>> No.13800201

It's only beginning so many other shit from the 90s hasn't been tried yet. For example they just picked up all those fluffy/fuzzy oversized fleece jackets.

Yeah, I've noticed that. I think Mid-90s is going to perpetuate this for at least another two years.

Ok, I guess you think that 2000s fashion was good? Or you are one of those tryhards who think that 1960s was the pinnacle of fashion? 90s fashion uses elements from previous decades. Not everything was good, but that gpes for all the other decades. What kind of stuff got you so butthurt btw? care to show me

You say that now, but in the mid-2000s everything was basically a knee-jerk reaction to 90s fashion. Jeans were everything but the straight, high-rise fit that they were in the 90s, colors were muted, shoes were more tame, and everyone cringed at what they wore in 1995. Hell, even SNL or MadTV (can't remember exactly) had some skit around 2005 that made fun of "mom jeans."

I'm sure that in 5-10 years or so, we're all going to look at the retro shit we're wearing now and cringe. That's just the cyclical nature of fashion, and all of these major fashion retailers pushing 90s throwback stuff is evidence that this trend is in its last couple of years of being cool.

And I'm saying this as someone who went all-in on this trend when it was at the height of its popularity on /fa/.

reminder that ten years ago the fashion community including /fa/considered the 90s the least effay decade but loving the 80s, and in a few years when you're old /fa/ will have a new generation of kids who were too young for the 2000s talking about how it was so effay, and that the 2010s were the worst decade.

All of my jeans are 501s. I have a black pair, a stonewash pair, and a dark blue pair. I've been dressing like seinfeld for years, and yesterday at work, a girl from the local university told me I have "a whole dope vibe going on," pointing out my jeans as "a throwback aesthetic."

Anyway I'm giving these pants to my dad since he wears 501s and we're the same size. What are some good jeans that will not make normies think I'm cool? 511s? wranglers?

I still cannot ever see the 2000s becoming cool. I understand fashion novas trying it out to be different but regardless it's overal just cringy and ugly.

i agree. i remember 'slim fit' and 'clothes that actually fit' being touted as like a cure-all for all men who lacked style consciousness. now look, here we are at a time when huge pants are cool again.

I mean slim fit still is a general guideline for people that aren't style-conscious in everyday life.

Fuller silhouettes are in trend but generally autists just trying to dress better are always about muh timeless classic style
