They had Japan fever before. Korean presence here is larger than it ever has been. I’ve been here a long time. I met Koreans in Korea who used 4chan to practice English, srs. Anime used to be everywhere on this site, if you can believe it. Korean emphasis has been a recent development with Kpop, kdramas, esports, Kim jung un on the news. The lens has simply shifted, they haven’t been doing anything incredible in the fashion industry. Most of them buy H&M, Zara, Lotte, Uniqlo, NC, Nike’s, Addidas, some Rick Owens fanboys here and there.

Like I understand that it’s a vain culture where everyone has to follow the current trends or they’re an outcast. It’s just when I see my favorite idols having such interesting looks compared to what I see in America, I get really interested.
