Functionally they are supreme. Slip on slip off. Very hard to find a pair that fit well. Suede is better. They are not in the same league as combat boots or desert boots. Chelseas are refined and elegant. Brown chelsea boots are for wearing in the country. Just like any other brown or tan boot. Wearing Chelsea boots as like some "Step up" in formality is foolish. But however, if styled properly they can be very formal and very sophisticated. Brown/Tan Chelsea boots willnever be sophisticated. No brown boot every will. Just like no black boot can ever be country. The more daring revolutionary could mix black leather and brown chelsea boots, but this is something that is reserved for the iconoclast and not for the common man or the simple dillettante.

On a man he must be very skinny to fit the look. If he's average he's probably wearing desert boots instead. If normal it's just some brown sneakers.

If he's some edgelord he's got brown dress shoes.

The only normal answer is regular fucking boots. The most fashionable being captoe shit like katahdins/redwings/1000 miles with the gy welt. Otherwise it wouldn't matter. Only other goys look at boots.

I need shoes and I'm tired of wearing sneakers, what are some good chelsea options? My price range is around 300 dollars, 350 at most if it's really worth it.
I mostly wear parkas, hoodies, occasionally a sherpa jacket, with slim dark jeans or chinos, so I'm guessing I should get brown suede?
