Buy a navy and gray suitsupply MTM suit, your best value for money. You'll be <1000 dollarydoos for 2 suits, will still have to buy some brown oxford shoes (don't wear black shoes with a navy suit like the average cringy yankoid) , go to the Meermin store in NY and get some for 200 or so.

>> No.13798236

I believe the rule is one navy one charcoal one light gray, and wear them on a rotation. No black.

>> No.13798259

Make sure they arent polyester, or a poly blend. Navy and grey will be a lot more flexible and fassionable. And of course get that shit tailored.

You probably just need a blazer unless you are either a CEO or funeral director.

Your other option with a navy suit is oxblood shoes. Navy and black is a big no no.

unless you're an apprentice mortician, avoid black
you won't look cool
you'll look like you are cosplaying reservoir dogs, or will smith in mib.
basically you'll look like a tool
and the fact that you're asking on here of all places means you're the clueless type that will get that hideous black that takes on a green/grey tinge in artificial light

like the others said, charcoal or navy.
you want closest to black without going black?
midnight

black is for funerals, dinner suits and tools cosplaying shit
black suits really only ever look good on asians anyway outside of the funerary aspect

There’s nothing wrong with navy suit + black shoes. Brown may look better in this combination, but black is more verasatile and will always look good.

NO.

Buy a dark charcoal suit as your first suit because it's much more versatile than black. Then get Navy blue. Then black.

Then you can start throwing other colours in to the mix. If you need to wear suits for your work buy two good suits and several difference shirts and accessories instead. This allows you to vary your look much better.

Look in goodwill stores. Generally you can find high quality stuff there.

I recommend you check out Gentleman's Gazette on youtube. He's kind of grandpacore but listen to his tips on buying clothing on a budget.
