Half the time the note pyramid is edited or updated anyway. I'll accept when companies list key accords on tester bottles, but there's always more going on than only what is printed. So, no interesting hooker shenanigans today. I did get to try the new Xerjoff Golden Dallah, though. I was a bit disappointed, to be honest. For those unfamiliar, it’s one of the two new fragrances in the Coffee Break line. Both scents are supposed to feature coffee quite prominently, and Dallah is supposed to be more of a spicy gourmand scent, which I usually love.

I got mostly rose and incense from it. The coffee was pretty subtle and mostly came out in the drydown. It smelled to me more like your standard middle eastern Rose/Oud/incense combo with a little bit of coffee, cacao, and spice in the background. Kind of reminded me more of an Amouage release than something from Xerjoff. I’d have liked to see the coffee and other gourmand elements really dialed up.

Guess I’ll still have to stick with Kilian’s Intoxicated for my coffee fix. Shame.
