There's two cities on top of each other. The corporatism and capitalism gone awry and the artistic mecca of the Western world (alongside Berlin) put on top of each other. If New York isn't for you, Montreal is quite amazing.

The rest of North America is...uhhh...not very good. There's enclaves of culture in places like Chicago, Boston, San Francisco...but...meh.

I always found downtown Seattle to be pretty /fa/ on my visits in the past. There is one grocery store run by an old black guy who always has good jazz playing quietly on the sound system. The buildings include a lot of nice old architecture. And it is often layering weather

What does that even mean? I never said London isn't a nice place, I like it a lot. But the amount of actually effay people there is lacking and in general the city has this big money cosmopolitan vibe which to me is the opposite of effay.

Other places attract people based on their likings for culture, art, aesthetics, etc. These tend to be much more interesting from a fashion perspective.

I think Gothenburg is quite effay. Firstly it has the London whether and "sadness", but it isn't as big. Also it isn't the biggest city in the country which gives it that underdog mentality. While it isn't really anymore it used to be a great city for music.
