Last two were cozy, haven't seen any since.

Does anyone have experience with the String of Pearls? Mine is just not growing and I'm not sure if it needs more sunlight (it gets lots of indirect atm) or more water, or less water, or just a shit plant.

I never understood why or how plants should attract insects.
I guess if your room is really humid, but just open a window once in a while like a regular person.
Plants can get pests, but deal with that when it happens.

As near as I can work out, this is a Jade Plant/Money Tree. It was labelled as 'Assorted Succulents' when I bought it, and I don't know enough to immediately identify it.
It's great, growing in the bathroom incredibly fast. Required the least maintenance for the most amount of growth of almost everything I have. Really good for a beginner.

Pic related is the other success, Gold Moneywort or Creeping Jenny.

Most houseplants don't need direct sunlight, i.e. you don't need to keep the window open for them to absorb enough light to live. You can keep them on a windowsill by a closed window and probably be fine.

I water at the sink, or outside. I give them lots of water - until it's literally pouring out the hole. When that stops, I place them on saucers/plates/trays/whatever in front of the window and wait until the soil is mostly dry again (1-3 weeks, sometimes more).

No tape. I turn it right-side-up, place it on some soft dirt so that the whole bottom is supported, and drill from the inside out. I pause often so the drill bit doesn't get crazy hot. The big orange one was a little bit harder material. For that one, I also put a water/windex mixture in the bottom to help cool and lubricate the drill bit. Be gentle, patient, and try not to push with a lot of force. I did have one heavy glass-like piece that was really hard, and I very quickly gave up on drilling that one, but mostly this pottery is soft and easy to work with.

Here's an old UPCO pot that my grandma had. It was already cracked when I drilled it.

Golden Pothos. They're pretty easy to grow and propagate. The more light they get, the more yellow splotches show up on them.

Jades are cool, but slow growing. Give it as much light and warmth as you can, and wait for its soil to dry out before watering it again. It's a succulent and doesn't like to stay really wet all the time.

My jade plant has arrived. It's a bit squished from the drive but I'm not too worried about that. I just plopped it on my desk in a saucer for now while I wait for the soil to dry so I can repot it.

mint is impossible to keep healthy inside
but you're definitely retarded if you let an outside mint die, that's virtually impossible outside of any desert.

So I have one of these fuckers, but its looking pruny and slightly shriveled? It sits on the windowsill of a frosted window, so im sure it gets plenty of sunlight without being exposed to the blistering sun and I give it about a tablespoon of water once a week. The pot does have proper drainage, but I cant figure out what the problem is as I dont have any issues with my other plants.

That's crassula gollum isnt it? I bought one over a week ago and full sunlight has netted almost zero growth. I imagine it's just a very slow grower, it looks healthy to me.

When the soil is dry, the plant loses the deeper shade of green, or starts wilting/sagging.

Youre supposed to water it thoroughly after its been completely dry for a while. Succulents like neglect, and regular but insignificant water weekly is caring too much. Im certain it would appreciate being in a south facing clear window, as well. Ive seen aucculents either shrivel up and die without enough sun, so Im guessing thats whats happening with yours.

The YouTube Channel I consulted never talked about artificial light sources. I just installed a white LED because it looks nice when it's dark around.
Otherwise it is exposed to sunlight. Not directly though. Time will show if it works

I concur. Plants as decoration are nice but in my opinion the plant in itself should be a statement already and not just add to your room.

small routine sips of water is actually kinda bad, anon. it allows minerals and salts to build up in the soil. to fix it, give it LOTS of water at the sink... basically flush the soil. when it dries out in a week or so, give it a big drink again. let it dry out, repeat. but really, your jade looks pretty healthy overall.

Sunset Valley Orchid's Black Pearl. They have an in-depth care sheet for their catasetums on their website, but you can easily find these plants on eBay. Highly recommend this species since they're easy to take care of and grow very fast. Pic related is another black catasetum from the same grower called Monnierara Millennium Magic 'Witchcraft'.
