Not the anon you responded to, but I've got the same comment on your pants. Right now the crotch of your pants looks like it's a few inches below your crotch which makes your legs look short. If you pull them up to your waist to fix the issue though the pants look like they'll be too short for your legs.
If you're going for a rock look I'd suggest getting one well fitting pair of black jeans. They should sit above your hips and stay up comfortably without a belt. Whether you go for slim, loose, tapered, or whatever fit, make sure that the jeans create an clean line down your legs. Right now there's a bunch of fabric flaring out at your thighs which looks sloppy.
The boots are cool though, and the top half is alright if a little juvenile.

Appreciate the response Anon. Those are the "classiest" boots I have and they're comfy as fuck. I have docs but also a pair of Cats which are similar in shape and with the same "boxey" look.

The flannel is definitely too short, but most of my others aren't so that's fine.

I appreciate the tips on my legs, I'm pretty aware of those, and I'm pretty happy to get tips of disguising them. My hips are also weird as fuck but I think I disguise that OK. I'm returning to lifting after a long break so those should round out as I lose weight.


For the tshirt where I am is starting to heat up so I'm trying to reintroduce tees instead of button downs into my wardrobe. I know I look like a rejected metalhead, but at the risk of sounding like an edgelord those bands are a big part of my personality. So if possible I'd love to make them work in a fit instead of ditching them altogether.

Good stronk legs. That being said Light colors don't work for our build style. You should try for Dark jeans, Crew cut shirts, and a jacket. jacket can even be light colors. but being so fit in the lower portion makes the top look underwhelming. which is why I say to balance it with darker, slimming colors, and jackets to offsett the wide shoulders.

You can make the bottom half of the outfit work but you've gotta do something about the top. The simplest fix would be something like a drapey solid coloured knit or a distressed sweater.
You can pair a sport shirt with the boots as well but it needs to have some artisanal turn to it. That can be as simple as a raw hem and band collar in a rumpled fabric or as elaborate as a CCP or IS shirt with anatomical stitching. Take some time and look around for inspo with people wearing guidis to get an idea of what I mean.

Alternatively if they'll fit a size 42 I'm willing to take em off your hands.

Thanks. This was a good comment. My wardrobe is mostly athleisure. The shoes feel like they allow me to wear my current trousers up, because of draping. The shoes are 42.
