This stopwatch has one of the strangest reset mechanisms I've ever seen. Webm at 1/8 speed. The seconds and minutes counters reset instantly as expected but the 1/10 second moves forward one step at a time until it's back to zero.

Still waiting for that capacitor.

Yeah I don't see why a heart cam wouldn't work. They could even have a trefoil cam of some sort, that zeroed to whatever hand was closest. But I mostly wonder what the mechanism is that makes this one work - it seems to run at the correct speed (10 ticks per second) until it gets to the closest zero (it will never tick more than 9 times). It's a rebranded Junghans stopwatch movement.

It's not a tuning fork. The Derby swissonic branding was all electric powered, hairspring-regulated, I believe. This one is a basic pin-pallet electric movement. Yes, the bottom strip is a worldtimer. It's not actually an alarm clock - either the bits were pulled out (unlikely), or the seller just included a manual from a different clock.

I was hoping it would make a nice desk clock for work since I deal with folks in multiple time zones but it's a bit loud
