Ayyy I grew up in Boise. There’s nothing in Boise (Sun Valley is a nice place to shop though, good thrifting) except last time I was home I saw a store downtown that had a list of brands in the window that included APC but I think the store was all women’s stuff. I bet it’ll have something come a year or two at the rate it’s growing.

L'Eclaireur Sevigne is full of chinks looking for expensive normie fashion. It's like the hype-oriented version of Herold, and I have no interest in buying whatever is trendy at the moment. I like Herold for the knowledge of the people who work there and foremost for their selection. There are many very interesting brands brands that are being sold at Herold and that you cannot find anywhere else in Paris. I cannot say the same about Sevigne.

I would agree that the place itself is stunningly beautiful though. It's definitely worth a visit. And there are a few really great brands there as well, among hype garbage. But as opposed to Herold, none of them is exclusive to Sevigne.

>Also La Piscine fucking sucks
Why would you ever say that ?

You can find anything thee for ridiculous prices. They used to stock lots and lots of Silent and Transit. They have plenty of Damir, Lost & Found and other similar brands. I've even seen a LUC sweater there for 70€, I still don't understand how the fuck it ended up here. When KVA closed his own label to focus on designing for others, they bought ALL his stocks. You had runway pieces going for dirt cheap, and there's still some of it that's available. They also stock many interesting casual chic French designers, such as Ly Adams or Melindagloss (now Editions M.R.). I once saw a few Bernard Zins pants there too.

If there is one place to check every now and then when you're looking for interesting come ups, it's La Piscine.

Well Noir Kei is part of CDG and CDG is stocked at Sevigne since they are the ones who have the clientele for the Play line. Jacquemyn is not exclusive to them. Götesson does not fit the Herold aesthetic and is not exactly confidential ad it has fashion week exposure

Now I might have been a bit harsh with Sevigne, you are right in saying that they do have a few gems

My point was really that, as a whole, Herold is a lot more cohesive, has the most exclusive designers and foremost is extremely picky in the designers it chooses to sell. They have few labels available, but you can trust them for making sure that everything is equally amazing. You are not going to randomly run into middle-end brands or hypebeast bullshit there

We have literally no effay stores that are internationally recognisable. The basics like Cos, Zara etc. and the normie shit like Gucci and LV is all there of course. Yeah you're better off taking the train to Vienna or Munich if you want to shop. All we have is normie shit and basic streetwear like footlocker. That said, you might find some good stuff for very cheap in the thrift shops, since our prices on everything are lower than Western Europe. Expect to find only classic menswear stores in Prague if you want effay stuff.

Hamburg

like every 2nd high end brand has a store at Jungfernstieg,
Rudolf Beaufays for vintage 2nd hand suits. Owner is kinda weird, some clothes are in a really bad condition, but there are some nice pieces. Varies from prep, classical english to reviewbrah shit.
We've got an Acne store.
Normie shit like Scotch&Soda.

Tipps are welcome

From Milan when I was but a child who ate dirt, going back soon.

Currently in Toronto though and outside of a few small stops we only have hypebeast stuff like haven/capsule or the off white store. Even then it’s nothing good because Toronto gets left overs and everything is raffled for.

There are of course bunch of others like the ones mentioned before, but these at least for me represent things that feel relevant right now in Paris.
