Here are some differences:
Diver watches and jeans are kind a best items in their categories. Ultraboosts are probably the best equivalent for them, they are technically shoes for sport but same time it's super comfy to dress them at office if your dress code allows it. On the other hand Vans are super uncomfy and low quality shit. They are DECENT(not even best) only for skating.

the regular vans do, because they are not actually skate shoes but instead skate style shoes if yknow what I mean. The pro models are the actual skate shoes and they are more expensive and are made with better materials to withstand wear from flicking and shit. Idgaf when normies wear regular vans but sometimes I'll see motherfuckers that don't skate wearing kwalk pros and that shit pisses me off because they are expensive af and also made for actual skating unlike the regular shoes. But wearing vans isn't really a poser thing to do, I wear my non-pro slip-on vans all the time when I'm not skating. Wearing pro models or thrasher shirts however is. I don't mind when the normies wear thrasher shirts though because at least they are giving the magazine money, and in turn helping the community, I think of it as charity, still cringy though.
