The best place I've ever seen is a mis-matched sock (as in, a single whose partner has been consigned to the trash due to too many holes) put in a drawer. Thank god I ordered the 38mm. It fits perfectly my 18cm wrist.
This watch is so subtle yet powerful. I have never owned a mechanical watch, the quality is incredible, so is the movement.

I've gotten my first watch about 9 months ago (Casio mtp-1222) to see if I liked wearing one - turns out I do.
So now I know what I want from my next watch (and am willing to drop more cash on it), but I can't find any that fit the bill:

-analogue only, no digital displays
-all stainless steel (including strap)
-bulkier, but not pants on head retarded
-rotating bezel (if it's not a turbodiver that only rotates CCW even better)

It'd be nice to have:
-battery illumination or tritium (worst case scenario I'll get a watchmaker to mod tritium into it)
-blue or blue/red combo on the bezel
-blue face

Any suggestions for models would be greatly appreciated. Also, if there's a database somewhere where I can search for these features that'd be great.

A customer brought me a Steinhart for regulating. It's a Steinhart Triton 100atm titanium diver, with an ETA 2824 movement. Looking at it IRL it's not bad for €650. Being 1000m rated it's not much larger than my 200m Baby Tuna. Of course it has an automatic helium valve.

Despite being titanium it's kinda heavy, though it feels like a lot of the weight is the dense as fuck rubber strap. Also the strap is held by Allen-bolts which imo is a superior solution for divers, it's way more secure. The lume however is definitely weaker than my Seiko's, probably because it's blue.

All in all for €650 this is woudln't be a bad purchase, despite how much /wt/ shits on (((Stein)))hart.

Its OK. Erika straps are overpriced. It has a lot of problems I found after only a day owning it. It's very hard to put on/take off, which annoys me as I was planning on using it as daily driver. The metal brackets are pretty shit and I feel like they're damaging the strap fabric.

But yes, it is very, very comfortable. By far the best nylon strap you can buy. It has a somewhat silky quality, but is simultaneously very easy to grip, and is elastic so will perfectly warp around the watch lugs. You can wear it pretty loosely without the strap slipping at all, and it's far more temperate in temperature - you can happily wear this in Malaysia or Finland. It's also disgustingly light. Pretty much every review I read raved about it.

To go above this in comfort, I dunno if hat to suggest. Maybe a silicone rubber strap, maybe perlon but I haven't experienced that yet.
