Why do I have such a hard time respecting men in their late 20s or even 30s that are still active in sub cultures and dress like teens?

Delayed adulthood, extended childhood.
Life is all about change and growth.
It's never a good idea to stagnate, and be locked into a frozen state of development.
The key to aging gracefully is knowing when to leave the toys of childhood behind.
Life is all about the future, not living in the past.

i agree with you.

However, I'm 20 right now and I enjoy skating a lot, and people comment saying I dress like a skater. When I do approach my 30s I honestly wouldn't know what to do instead. I could dress different, but I don't just wanna stop skating.

what do effay?

As far as fashion goes, which brands should people in their thirties even wear? It seems all the brands try to cater to younger demographics and always have young models. Junya Watanabe, Yohji and N.Hoolywood are the only ones on my mind who cater to all ages.

You have like a decade left. You're not going to be the same person at 30 that you are at 20. Why would you even bother thinking about this?

You're not going to be able to plan that far ahead, come on. What are you going to do, make a multi-year timeline for getting out of skating? I think for most of people, they just transition to other hobbies. Besides, why do you have to give up skating as you get older? You should probably stop constantly dressing like a skater at some point though.

Normies don't grow up, they just have more expensive toys and indulgences marketed to them.
They have to make you think a board is for kids so that you put it down and start buying plane tickets to Guam.
FYI I mostly want to agree with you but it's very clear that most people aren't getting married, having 3-6 kids and becoming 1950s sitcom dads, right?
The materialism just becomes more expensive and more about escaping how spiritually dead they are.
At least if they were on a skateboard they would be getting a little bit of exercise and honing a skill.

How the fuck do you "dress like a teen"? I'm just supposed to suddenly change how I like dressing because I reach a certain age? When I'm 40 I'm still gonna have sneakers and joggers on I don't fucking care lmao.

Van Heusen, Greg Norman, Croft & Barrow, Polo Ralph Lauren, Under Armor, Nike.

If you’re in your 40’s you can rock Affliction & Rock Revival. Modern generation can’t, but that’s the “Rockin’ 80’s” generation and the chicks dig it.
