Looks ok, not amazing, with shorts, but looks horrible with pants.

I'm not sure why but to me, open shoes on men on day to day looks look weird. Flipflops are perfectly fine on the right context as well, I guess.

I unironically wear by birkenstocks, with socks, around town and school.

Only people that I know give me shit for it but it's just really comfortable. It's a good conversation starter otherwise.

I really do not understand why some men fight this so much. Listen, few people think men look good in sandals, and it doesn't matter why. Like most things, just accept that or don't wear them. I think it depends on so many different things. I personally wouldn't wear sandals or birkenstocks or whatever in that category. I generally think they're not flattering for men because most men don't take care of their feet as much as women. So when women say they don't want to see sandals on a man that's the reason why. However, the women who I've talked to working love shoes like birkenstocks because they're comfortable and love guys wearing them, I guess because now they're trendy and shows that they are "on-trend". I'd rather get a pair of slip on vans or something if I really want a "summer shoe".

Only ever received flack from high schoolers while wearing sandals. Had some kid say what are those in a mall a few years ago and someone recently said sick sandals bro sarcastically. I think youngsters just don’t understand the comfort and coolness of sandals
