Which wrist should I wear my GMT on and which wrist should I wear my 11660LV on? I like the Hulk more, so I'm thinking I should wear it on my dominant wrist (left), just because I've attuned myself to being more careful with that wrist. Also I'm considering putting the GMT on a NATO so that the two straps don't scrape up against each other while I'm sleeping.

The spring drive, piaget 700p, and Seiko 5s21/5s42 are the only wristwatches I'm aware of with continuous motion second hands. The Omega megasonic would be a runner up, with 1440 ticks per second. The zenith zo342 oscillator is the smoothest production wristwatch that didn't use electricity in its function at 30 ticks per second, although prototypes were made of a Clifford magnetic escapement that used permanent magnets and a mainspring that would have been smoother (pictured). No production run though. The smoothest production hairspring, balance, and lever escapement (traditional mechanical watch) I'm aware of is the 10hz from breguet, which ticks at 20 times per second and uses permanent magnets in its balance pivots. The smoothest traditional mechanical I'm aware of that doesn't use magnets is chopard's 6hz (12 ticks per second), although I believe seiko made some 10hz (20 ticks per second) prototypes that did not come to market. In chronographs, there are plenty of movements with 50hz traditional mechanical movements (lemania, Omega, etc). Tag has made a number of non-traditional mechanical chrono mechanisms, I believe up to 1000hz (2000 ticks per second) if I remember correctly.

Modern watches (since mercury batteries were banned, may they rip) all use standard batteries. Some are better than others - silver oxide batteries generally perform better than alkaline, for example - but the supplied voltage makes them generally all compatible. It used to be that there were special batteries for high-current-draw watches, but that's not really an issue with modern batteries. The major factors are chemistry (silver oxide vs alkaline; again, they're generally compatible) and size (generally not compatible). Any decent mall jeweler will have all common sizes. Some watches (most notably the original accutron tuning fork watches) that were originally designed for 1.35v mercury cells have issues running with modern 1.5v cells, but generally it's not an issue.

Note how these modern batteries are "multi-drain" and are suitable replacements for both 371 and 370 batteries, which are the same size (one is the high-drain version and one is the low-drain version).

Reminder to not put cheap alkaline batteries in your watches. When they run out of juice they'll eventually start to leak, sometimes even before that.

Use silver-oxide batteries from reputable brands like Sony, Varta, Energizer etc. Don't use Renata though, they're fucking leaky shit. Swatch Group somehow managed to develop a silver-oxide battery that leaks. fucking geniuses.

Don't know, the Amphibia stem and crown are built together, and cannot be taken apart and there are at least two sizes for the modern ones. Don't know what fits the old one.

Doesn't look too bad to me, check if the rubber gasket if properly seated inside the crown.

Because Joma is not an authorized retailer/distributor. They have a great reputation for dealing in authentic watches, but you will not get the factory warranty with them. Joma offers their own warranty which usually matches the factory's in length. The biggest concern there is if you have to send it in for repair you're not precisely sure who they will be using to conduct said repairs. That being said, they have an excellent reputation on that front as well.

It's really up to the buyer to weigh the initial savings up front vs. potential down the road benefits of buying from an authorized reseller who deals directly with the factory.

Any other Anons wear two watches for keeping track of a timezone apart from your own? If so, where, and why? Pic related is what I'm wearing today. Usually have them on alternate wrists, but I've been using my tablet a lot today and didn't wanna scratch it up with my bracelet.

I posted about this briefly in the past thread. I've been looking for a GMT or a world timer within the 34 - 36mm range for over a year now, but I'm having no joy with it at all. Any suggestions for a wristlet?
