Because running shoes are too uncomfortable. i like wide flat soles and only skater shoes have those.
Also even athletic wear is getting progressively more shit, and most of the good looking colorful stuff is sold out... most of the stuff i posted here is.
Even frikking snowboard gear is getting more and more monochrome.

It's kind of a new dawn for gawdy, colorful sportswear. Nike dropped pic related, the retro ACG stuff sitting on Nike.com is hot, even that element react coming out seems to lend itself to wearing bright colorful socks. I know I'm going hard on the swoosh here, but Adidas has clearly been creeping out of the drop crotch goth ninja swamp they built the last few years too.

I slept too long on these and now my size is sold out :(

The arguments for my preferences are timeless.

What ever the fuck the fashion industry does at any given moment is not really based on rational arguments.

A great example are video games.
lootboxes, cover based shooting, slowly regenerating health, dlc, etc.
All fads that the entire industry jumped on when they were in and you had trouble finding anything that didn't include that in mainstream media.
Same now with faded colors and skinny as fuck pants, and that trendy hairstyle in the fashion industry.
