people dont wear suits to parties and clubs. you will stick out and not in a good way. more tryhard than cool

Look for Styleforum, they have some articles on picking your first suit. Wearing them to parties is fine, wearing to the club is tricky, you have to be really comfortable in them and confident in your style to pull it off. Slacks and a sports jacket is more advisable.

fuck man that's so lame. i've got some dope casual suits and its annoying that i have to wear contrasting top and bottom when i could just wear a suit and a cool shirt. modern style should wear suits, but not in a stuffy business way, just for style

If your going to a nice club that is somewhat prestigious, you could easily pull off something like a summer suit. Go for a material like linen and keep the color casual, like a mid blue or just flax. Wear with a basic white shirt and no tie or maybe a white tee if trying to dress down. I wouldn't wear to a party though, you will look like a total aspie.

My 2 cents if you can afford it, try to get a full canvas suit. Try to avoid polyester. Find a good tailor in your area because if your buying off the rack, you will 90% need alterations. And I second lurking on Styleforum.
