Hey /fa/, I need your help.
Recently I got a new haircut with bangs, but they tend to get greasy by the end of the day.

Do you know any tips or tricks to prevent this? I have been trying not to touch it, I have also stopped ironing and using any products on it besides shampoo. My skin isn't oily either, I'm kinda clueless here.

Also my hair is dyed and I wash it daily. Should I try Wu2? I heard you will smell like eggs afterwards.

pic related, the cut looks like this

It's just one of the tradeoffs of having bangs. The hair is over the t-zone, so it just absorbs the sweat and oil from your forehead. I would carry cleansing wipes to clean up now and then, particularly after food, coffee, etc.

i got bangs recently too
like pic related
things i learned
>its hard to make them always look cute
i use hairspray ONLY on my bangs and i sorta style it so it generally has the same look through out the day (like 7hrs)
>they grow fast
maybe this is just me but i have to cut it often like every 2 weeks? bc of the growth
>dry shampoo is ur friend
dry shampoo helps a bit with styling and also keeping it looking like u just showered
even if you showered 3 hours ago..
>wipe your forehead whenever you feel like it
i think sweat and oils from your forehead make your hair get clumpy and oily

idk what else but yeah

Yeah hairspreay works for a while, but if I brush it once it gets just as bad.

>>13433029
Thanks for the tip, I will try it next time.

you could try using blotting sheets on your forehead during the day. Washing your hair daily causes it to get greasy more quickly, maybe you could try washing it only every other day.

Stop washing your hair daily, it makes your head over-produce oils to compensate. Also, dry shampoo will save you. There isn’t much else you can do, it’s just what happens when you get bangs. If it’s too gross, you can shampoo only your bangs so they’re fresh.

Don't forget about conditioning your hair after using shampoo. Conditioner helps to balance your natural oils afterwards washing.

When you blow dry your hair use a round brush to style your bangs before drying any of the rest of your hair. If you blow dry them properly, you won't need much product. Pin them out of the way if you're doing any exercise. Sometimes you can just shampoo your bangs if you're short on time.

Especially if your hair is coloured try not to wash your hair EVERY day. Maybe opt for a dry shampoo in between washes (my favourite is from Klorane!)

had bangs for a year, lemme give you my expert advice: cornstarch. there's also baby powder cornstarch that's nicely scented. you can use it as a dry shampoo and it soaks up the hair oils, making your hair look fresh. especially good if you don't wash your hair everyday (keeps it healthy)

>> No.13436873

Yeah, don't have bangs they are ugly.

Cool idea. Isn't it cringy if I use dry shampoo/baby powder on it while I'm at school? Thats the critical time when it starts looking like shit

Yes, totally. Just in the bathrooms or locker rooms or whatever

yeah, you can use dry shampoo outside of your home. if your hair is dark it might look whitish, so apply UNDER your bangs instead of over if you're outside. lush has a really overpriced dry shampoo that's mostly corn starch, so use plain cornstarch or the baby powder corn starch if you're cheap

hi i also have bangs, but they dont really get greasy that fast. my hair is curly, so when its wet (i wash it every 4 days or so) i sleep with it "plopped", just wrapped in a tshirt. this is great for the rest of it but it means that my bangs dry up and i wake up with weird styles sometimes. i try to straighten them back into shape but they misbehave when theres a parting in them.
i want to eventually go no-poo or cowash but i just cant stand the grease.
