can someone explain the appeal of these sort of shoes? Not trying to talk shit. To be specific, I mean tennis shoes that have thick, rubber soles. For me the attraction is just because it’s different, my other options are boring. Any flat sole tennis/skate shoe like Vans/Converse/CPs/AF1 etc are just completely boring to me, they look fine but they’re just boring.

Ugly grandpa sneakers are a completely different silhouette, it’s a change from the usual boring flat soles and also more comfortable imo and it’s just a way to experiment which has taken me to looser fits and different clothing rather than the boring slim jean sneaker combo.

I’m fairly /fit/ and they don’t look too bad with my legs but I think wearing that style of shoe with small legs/slim pants looks dreadful.
