Don't shampoo more than twice a week. Your hair will look greasy for the first couple of weeks, but it will normalize

If you're starting from a buzz, there's not much you can do. Product can help keep the hair down, but don't apply it while your hair is wet because it will dry and still start flipping upwards. Also make sure you're really rinsing your hair out every day to get that product out since you're not shampooing as much

When you shampoo your hair, you're removing the dirt and other shit in it by essentially stripping the hair of the oils that the debris clung to. However, those same oils are responsible for the health of your hair and its appearance. Conditioning helps replenish this oil, but it's not a perfect process, and if you shampoo too often, your body compensates by producing more oil which can negatively impact the appearance of the hair by fucking with its sheen and texture.

The no-poo people are fucking weird because they've taken the drawbacks of shampoo to an insane degree and responded in kind with total denial of the benefits. That being said, shampooing every day is not an ideal situation for the reasons mentioned above. Twice a week is the most I would recommend unless you have insanely oily hair even with the use of shampoo, in which case you might need to look into other options. As for the acne, if your hair is long enough to tie it, then tie it up. If it's just long enough to keep brushing along your cheeks, then be a bit more diligent in cleaning your face until your hair's oil production is normalized. It will normalize, but it will take a couple of weeks to do so

Sweat isn't as oily as you think. If you're sweating in the gym, just hit the showers after. If it's just general sweating, maybe grab a second shower each day just to rinse out all that salt.

The problem with over-shampooing with wavy or curly hair is that it can change how the hair curls up, usually in a bad way. Like my hair was poofy but straight when I shampooed everyday, when it's actually pretty wavy naturally (which I didn't find out until cutting shampoo completely). YMMV but I would suggest keeping it to 2 a week and increasing to 3 after two weeks if absolutely needed.

Since you already have problems with oily hair, I wouldn't recommend conditioning more than shampooing, at least not until everything has normalized. As for hair dryers, unless you need to use them for your style (i.e. getting extra volume, or adding direction to your hair) I wouldn't use them and let the hair dry naturally after some toweling off. That way you can judge how your hair is reacting to the morning's humidity and can style accordingly

Ive got a potentially stupid question but I have to ask.

Are you supposed to comb/ brush your hair after you've put wax in? I usually style just with my fingers after towel drying but today I made a mess and used too much product. I used a brush to try and salvage the style and it actually worked quite well at giving me a base to restyle it properly, and it looked okay in the end.

After washing hair I pat it down with a towel and let it dry slightly to the same point as towel dried hair, then I put some volume mouse in and blow-dry it with a heat gun cuz I'm too poor for a hair dryer. Got it done. She told me that a texturizing spray is a good idea but not totally necessary. Find a matte-finish product and apply it when damp ALL over the hair, not just on the top/front. My hair generally looks pretty greasy, and I figure its because I shampoo nearly every time I shower. I've heard the advantages of shampooing less often to fix this, but the problem is I swim regularly and the chlorine needs to be rinsed out with shampoo or my hair looks gross as well. Any advice? Wispy bangs, like the ones you posted on the wig are nice, but I think with v blonde hair it might end up looking a little strippery. You basically would still have to get them cut that way.
