A - Kill yourself.

B - Save and get a transplant. Although those always look wacky if you don't cover the hairline + they will permanently destroy the original scalp tissue underneath.

C - Hope and pray they'll some day come up with a cure. (There are good solutions being tested right now in Japan and Korea. Look it up.)

D - Shave your head and experiment with a beard that makes your face more interesting.

I know how it feels. I know how it robs you off your self-image and destroys your identity. But I found there are ways do deal with this. Start a new life that centers around you and nobody else. Compose your life in order to make YOU happy. I've been in the same boat as you, started balding at 15 - going from young Leo to prince William in a matter of years. Not a single day passed where the though of losing my hair didn't impose itself. Every time i'd catch a glimpse at my reflection in a mirror or in a window, my hair-loss was the only thing I could see. I saw every encounter through that filter and assumed every body else did too. I took pills for a little but was too concerned about adverse effects so I decided for plugs, figuring I'd save some money while waiting for technology got better. I dont know how or why, but knowing I had a plan really got me on the right track and bit of relief from that burden. I've never contemplated suicide though, and I hope you talk about it seriously with somebody around you, but I can tell you there is another option from all of these, and it's the only one that's truly liberating.
Having a plan out of baldness, in my mind, helped me accept my current state and stopped clouding my judgment, helping me realize that I was the only one seeing my baldness as a determining factor in my interactions. Even if it was true sometimes, most of the time people didn't care and it had absolutely no impact on their opinion of me; at least not as much as my mood and my personality.
I was working as a busboy, so wearing a hat wasn't an option most of the time.I had also started swimming more often and was playing in a soccer in a bar leagueIt gave me an opportunity to be in a idgaf state of mind about my hair, even if it only momentary. Starting there and built it up the where I realized I felt good enough about my smile and my body that I didn't want to go out of my way to feel self conscious again. I'm still thinking about my baldness most days, but now I see it as something that sets me apart and allows me to catch attention; my wit and charms can do the rest, it just took me a while to see it.

I'm losing my hair and it's getting worse. But here's the thing it's not hereditary, I think it's a side effect of taking accutane for a year. But I've been off accutane for 2 years at this point and it's still going back.

My Dad has a full head of hair, all my uncles do too. My grandad was still getting haircuts every month in his 90s for christ sake.

At 18-19 you can see the very start of the recession of your hairline. You may notice a little more hair in your comb.
At 20-22 you will probably unlock "mature hairline." The hair at the front and sides will come out almost all at once, you'll probably notice hair all over your hands when you're in the shower. You'll probably notice a slight increase in the hair on your comb after that.
At 23-25 you will probably realize those "mature hairline" posters on /fa/ are just copeposters at your hair recedes back at the sides and stops looking kind of cool, like it did before.
By 30 you will have probably lost half of the hair off the top of your head but you still have coverage including in the middle front.
You'll be losing a good bit every day now and you might be surprised that you maintain as much coverage as you do.

is there a difference between receding hairline and a mature hairline? Im loosing my hair (I dont belive the (((doctors))) that say that loosing over 100 hairs a day is normal) and my temples has receded.
