I want to get my earlobes pierced. Don't know if I should pierce just one or two. I'm going to go to a professional so it's going to cost me money, meaning it's cheaper to get one rather than two, so I'm sort of tempted to just get one plus my long hair covers up my other ear anyway due to how it's parted. I don't know if I'll regret not getting the other pierced or not. Not sure if I might end up getting put off by how unsymmetrical it is just to have one in one ear. I'm planning on putting in either a stud or this yin yang dangler I found at a asian grocery store that is sort of what convinced me that I wanted to pierce my ears. What does /fa/ think? Two or one? guy btw

it doesnt really matter how many you get but i would not do the yinyang thing. if you got it from a grocery store i bet it looks extremely cheap and the symbol itself is pretty juvenile. if you have to get a drop earring just get a cross or something to fully hop on the trend, i think just simple hoop rings look the best but thats just personal preference. also be sure to do the aftercare for your piercing(s) properly or its gonna be gross

as the other anon said, aftercare is very important. Regular disinfection at the beginning is a must.
Dont be impatient and change the first piercing too fast. The lobe needs a few weeks to fully heal. Changing it it too early can interrupt and slow down this process, risk infection etc and increase the likelyhood of problems in the future like reocurring infection.

personally i would get both ears pierced but thats just me hating asymmetry. gonna get two more soon.
However, its not like you will not be able to get the second one pierced another time if you dont like only one. Remember: vigin lobe->nothing to see; pierced lobe, even when regrown/closed->slightly visible.

I got drunk with some girl and she pierced my ear in the back of an uber with a sewing needle. Turned out ok, I think it looks fine and it's on the gay side so I'm one step ahead if I ever want to go sucking some dick.

I just wear a stud or small silver hoop, not sure how I feel about drop shit yet. One side looks fine on me since my hair is covering my ears a lot of the time anyways; styling one side to show the ring looks fine but trying to get both to show would be a pain for my longish asymettrical hair.


I have a generally asymettrical face though, one ear is a bit higher than the other and I think piercing both would highlight that. Take a picture of yourself from the front and use the line tool in paint or something to draw a straight horizontal line across your face and find out if you have chad genes or whatever
