I don't think it's possible to go /lunar/ during the summer, at least not where I live, it's ganna be god damn 90 every fucking day.

I would not be so quick to rule it out, I think there are viable options out there.
Several of the main elements found in lunarcore fits are readily adaptable to hot weather. Light weight canvas shoes and boots are quite comfortable even in 90F temperatures.

Also lighter colors are gonna work in our favor in hotter wearther. If we put our heads together I'm sure we can come up with something.

Cargo pants, another staple, are readily available in light weight breathable materials like military ripstop blends and roomier cuts which are very comfortable even in extreme heat. Many outdoor and tactical brands are even adding mesh leg vents with zippered closures, which not only make them more comfortable but also look high-tech as heck.

when it comes to upper body pieces there's a tendency to get hung up on the jackets, which have been a major focus for lunarcore fits.

What are the inhabitants of a hot planet going to wear? Maybe a light weight utility vest, or maybe just a tank top.

alternatively, consider the liquid-cooled base layers worn by actual astronauts to regulate temperature during EVAs. There are lots of moisture wicking athleticwear tshirts out there with cool piping details that look pretty futuristic.

You are a godsend! This is exactly the kind of inspo I was looking for. I'm not some atrophied zero-g wastoid so I've been looking for fits that show off my muscle definition. Every other lunarcore/astrowave fit has been bomberjackets and rounded silhouettes and that doesn't appeal to me but then you come along and nail it!

Kind of a silly comment desu, you did that for your job. "Give you a stroke" is obviously hyperbole, but for just hanging out, most people prefer to be comfortable.

That said the fit doesn't look all that hot to me, his upper body will stay nice and cool which at least to me is much more important for comfort (I've genuinely never felt the need to wear shorts even in summer heat).

It's just a way to avoid facial recognition, while still being recognizable. Collecting gas masks is one of my more autistic hobbies (along with collecting mineral specimens, and posting on fourchins).
