"Best" is a loaded term. It depends on what you want.

In my opinion the best fur is a tie between a good Montana Western Coyote or Finn Raccoon. Both of these furs are incredibly warm, uniform, yet durable. They're both getting quite popular with young men.

What's the difference between Western and Eastern coyotes? I'm assuming size probably has something to do with it but beyond that?

Eastern coyotes tend to have darker pelts. Where western coyotes are much lighter nuetral and greys. Western coyotes are typically larger in overall length, and the winters are significantly colder at altitude leading to thicker furs.
