Can I get a quickrundown on Wrangler?

>> No.13293484

They're great jeans imo. I own about 4 pairs (all in black though idk how the other colors are) and they fit me really well. I seam rip the tags off of jeans like wrangler/levi's because i think they're obnoxious but the quality is good

Heavy duty, in a good way. Most of their cuts are Western, or they have a cowboy style, so they cater to more leaned out guys....which provides a nice snug taper to the leg. Thick material made out of twisp cotton, so they can take a beating. Interesting enough, they seem to fit better the more that you wear them and mold to your physique. They are relatively light and hold up after repeated abuse.

I have about 6 pairs and that's all I wear. You can do anything in them. Labor, hiking, daily wear, and all the inbetweens. If you get long enough pairs (because Wrangler's literally come in a 32W 40L kek) then you can cuff them which provides a vintage aesthetic.

What kind of durability are we talking here? And how much do you want to spend? Iron Hearts in 21oz are by all accounts pretty damn durable and they have some fits that don't look too mom-jean to me, but they won't last 8x as long as a pair of 501 STFs and they cost ~8x as much. Same story with Sugar Cane. (And you might disagree with me about the fits, anyhow.).

If you get Wranglers, go to thrift stores and find the vintage USA-made ones. Newer ones are made in Mexico and are dogshit compared to the quality of the older ones.

No, I actually think /fa/ posters could find the red tab and back pocket stitching offensive. You see people talk about how offensive the N on New Balance shoes are, I assume the same thing applies to jeans.

I wear both Levis and wranglers. LEvi makes good jeans but you have to hunt for them. Wranglers are cheaper, more heavy duty and their quality is more consistent. I can't order Levis online; I can order wranglers online and not worry about the fit. They are also high rise: the George Strait jeans are almost 2 inches higher than Levi's 501 waist.

After a few months of daily use and regular washing the get soft and fade to a great light blue, only really new ones are stiff lmao wash your jeans.

The first thing I noticed after trying on a pair of 501s, after a few years of Wranglers, was that the Levi crotch really digs into your balls and aren't comfortable at all honestly. Also, a lot of the old ad's really pushed the idea of them being sanforized for a reason: They barely shrink. You might notice after awhile they get tighter but that's just because they mold to your body, especially the slims.
>>13297248

I like their vintage stuff cause they fit a lot better. You could find vintage wrangler jackets from the 60s-80s and their size L could be the same as modern size S-M.

For some reason in Europe they're aimed at younger people and have more modern cuts. In the US, it seems like they're dadcore and have larger fits.
