They are nice, the leather feels soft and good, do not scream loud and aren't really affected by hype tax either. I like the gray ones myself the most, but since the black colorway was just released recently, you'll probably find a pair of those the easiest. Much more comfortable than CP Achilles.

Tbh I would have liked a canvas boot without the ability to fold the top down. The extra fabric that is on the inside of the heel tends to rub the heel of my bigger foot like a bitch, but they were worth the $120 aud I paid for them and I'll probably use them for festivals once I get a proper pair of boots.

Yeah, I’m pretty skeletal so I’ve got a bit of room around my ankles even with the slim shaft model. In retrospect I'm really fortunate that I bought these instead of the normal 988 because they’d be unwearable.
As for Varvatos footwear, they’re worth it on sale. The leather quality is nothing special but the construction is solid and they’re very comfortable. The biggest drawback is that they lose their color or finish very quickly. The grey zipped pair are still relatively new, but I’ve had to re-do the wax coating on the black suede ones twice already.
