An M65 is meant to be roomy without the liner, dude. It looks the way it's supposed to look, learn to love it.

It's fine for obvious fashion pieces that are simply M65-inspired, but personally when people wear actual surplus (or stuff that's meant to look like it's real surplus) and size it so it's slim and form-fitting, it looks absolutely horrible to me. Borderline cosplayish. It's just not how those garments are supposed to fit.

Wear it with anything, honestly. It can look great with jeans or chinos and boots, with a shirt of your choice, just make sure the shirt isn't loud or attention-grabbing or it'll clash. Personally I only wear mine closed when it's actually cold or windy or whatever. For an everyday/indoor look, leaving it unzipped is a more casual look that softens the military / Taxi Driver vibes.

It looks a little odd with the adidas because it almost looks like the colors match, but that may just be the lighting in that picture - what color are they really? The jacket definitely doesn't look "autistic" or anything, you're just not used to it yet. Just wear it a shitload til you're used to it, it'll treat you well.

That's good advice in general, obviously, but the jacket looks fine. Again, the sleeves of an M65 are SUPPOSED to be a little roomy (when worn without a sweater/liner). If you're a big burly muscley dude and you fill out the jacket without a liner then you bought one that's too small for you.

Some people like that look, and if you do that's fine, but I stand by it being kinda dorky. It's a military surplus jacket. It has an intentionally boxy cut. It is meant to be worn over a liner and a certain amount of gear. It is not supposed to be form-fitting.
