What hair do you have now? When I tried long hair that's what my hair looked like after 5 months of growing. I started off with ~1.5in on top with #2 on the sides.

i have close to this style now, only the sides and back are a couple inches longer. I just dont want to be like "ya trim it about an inch but maybe a bit more off the back and side, i want my hair to be closer to my hairline" I'd rather just show a picture instead of giving a visual performance lol

do you really want that? that's pretty much what I have now and it's a pain in the ass to manage. I tell myself every morning that I need a haircut.

it's grown quite a bit since I last cut it, but my barber shop offers a "fresh cut" for 14$. I just ask for that. it's short on the sides and back, longer on the top, longest on the bangs. I just say "fresh cut, no skin" and that's what they give me. if you let it grow out a bit and you have wavy hair like me, it'll look like that.

my hair by itself is a pain in the ass do deal with, i think that these two styles are my only options besides buzz. which i dont mind but i think im gonna wait on buzzing it.

also i have thin straight hair so it pretty much looks like these. i could also go for the jared padlecki hockey flow thing but idk man.
