On a scale of 1-10.

Milwaukee's about a 3. Some people dress nice around the universities and the trendy neighborhoods (Brady St, Bay view, Riverwest, East side). Everywhere else, not so much.

My city, Groningen, is a student city with I think lowest median age in Europe out of any 100k+ city. As a result it is full of young people that are interested in fashion.

That said it’s nowhere like Copenhagen or Amsterdam. I give it a 5/10

I unironically love the vibe of this kind of town, which isn't to say I'd want to put up with most of the quirks of living there.

I live in Taipei. It's OK. The bustle and visual clutter is kind of fun. The people are somewhat effay but it's no Tokyo or Seoul. I'd say literally 3/4ths of the people I see on the train are either wearing Uniqlo down jackets, denim trucker jackets, or olive drab parkas (not real milsurp, just stuff that has that look).

Probably about a 5/10, as the bottom of the barrel isn't really that chavy. There are lots of east asian tourists all year round, and 2 universities, so there are tons of younger people and Koreans who actually care about fashion. There's an unfortunate amount of art hoes (1 of the 2 universities is an art one), but a surprising lack of Hype Beasts, considering that there are 2 private schools here. Ft football fans

SF - Probably a 7.5

I've also lived in Ny & LA and it doesn't even touch them, but compared to the fourth major US city I've lived in (Phoenix) it's miles ahead.

Tech people generally all dress like shit and lame city wide memes can become pretty pervasive (gonia vests, all birds, warbys, &c.,&c.) BUT the city is pretty well off and most people who want to dress well can.

There are also loads of boutique shops and local brands in the "hipper" sf neighborhoods (e.g. the mission, hayes valley) and the wealth of tourists also guarantees every major brand has an outpost in the more trafficked parts of the city so there's plently of places to pick up

You can rock an /fa/ look for sure and no one will bat an eye, but the down side is if you dress like a schlb no one will give a shit either

Well its London... I'm 25 and working so different perspective.

1) The actual city area. Its suit central and people dress well, I work in a company that allows smart-casual so I'm usually under dressed surprisingly on dress-down days there are quite a few sneakerheads which is cool

2) places like soho whatnot, obviously high fashion i find it embarrassing usually rich white / asian kids walking around in £1000 outfits look like cunts desu.

3) generally, streetwearish looks is popular, lots of caps, trainers, slim jeans/trackies etc. I usually just wear slim jeans/trainers and a bomber/coat on weekends so i fit in as sorta regular/better dressed

4) cunts, i live in south london and there are so many fucking students who dress like spastics sometimes commuting seeing people going to goldsmiths / colleges around their dressed like fucking aliens. Its funny how the second you enter the real-world what deems as actual dressing well changes overnight. These people will look back on it and cringe in a few years im sure also.

Moved here from Manchester, England which has bretty good fashion culture (I'd give it a 7/10), to a city full of homeless tweakers and college kids who all dress in the same uniform (sweater, yoga pants, timberlands). I give it a 3/10, if only because a lot of the Asian students dress well. Can't wait to move in September.

Where to start. Overall, pretty shit/poor/can be dangerous. 5/10

Some parts are closer to 7 or 8/10, while 85% of the city is 0/10. Steel town, lot of Canadians stuck in the 80s (if you've watched FUBAR those guys are most of the city). The hipster/gentrification scene brought in cool bars and well dressed people and soyboys. Great art scene, not much music but a few good punk bands. Recently some anarchists trashed one of our boujee streets of restaurants and cafes, so in retaliation some people trashed their hideout. Its an interesting place.

However, a lot of poverty and homelessness. High unemployment and virtually no opportunities, have to work in Toronto or surrounding cities. Drugs every where (crack and fentanyl, not the cool kind). Upcoming class war might be rough. Not enough young people to fill up bars and a lot of hicks and right wingers (most hate crimes per capita year after year, represent).

Foreigners aew mostly Europeans and Asians so they bring in good fashion along with the soys.

So yeah overall about a 5

Post-industrial dump. High unemployment, some posh areas are decent but dull. Only good places are a few in city centre (where most of the second hand 'cool' shops are) and near there (student, bohemian-esque areas), otherwise, a fucking DUMP of a city.

Filled with chavs, pakis, blacks, working-class scum (I can say that as one of them myself). I grew up in one of the roughest areas in the city too. And stupid me decided to go to uni in my hometown. I cannot wait to get out.

Some people dress well but over all no one else does. No nice buildings. The fact that it's very hill makes it a bit interesting though. 3/10. The more north you go in England, the worse it gets.

Melbourne tries way too hard to fashionable, whereas Sydney's Inner Western suburbs (Newtown, Erskinville and Enmore) are genuinely bohemian, with the perfect combination of skeezy and artsy.

Fair enough man, never been to Sydney myself so can’t really judge it but I see what you mean, many tryhards and trendhoppers in Melbourne from the 16-21 range but I like the current styles I see around the CBD. Fitzroy is decent enough for bohemian types, but yeah there’s nothing decent except generic ladcore from the lower-class areas of Melbourne I guess. I just like the way a lot of Melbourne kids who put effort in are able to pull off the mix of streetwear and high fashion so well. I also like neat, minimalistic styles which you see a lot of good fits for here.

Without a doubt the most effay city in SA, maybe in the whole of Africa, although this doesn't say much.

Most people dress fucking basic, with a lot of lower income wearing fake designer brands. Most people at uni dress the same, probably comparable to a midwestern US college. There are pockets of well dressed people in the CBD and surrounding areas and UCT and Michaelis Art school, but most people, including students, really dgaf about fashion or clothing. Even people into fashion dress like kak, wearing ripped denim from g star raw and the like so its hard to find people into fashion that also dress well.
