recovering bullimic/anorexic. 59kg at my worst, i looked so sickly and it was obvious to everyone because i suffered from malnutrition.
i work out almost everyday, which is a sympton of my illness i guess but i have a healthy, sustainable diet now (IF and around 2000 calories with a lot of protein). having is a nice bod is more /fa/ than anything else imho.

Weekdays are easier to eat a bit under, and weekends nice to have some larger meals or an extra beer. I don't always do that combination, but that's the jist of it. The main thing is I just meet my weekly TDEE, even if some days are below or above. I mean if I want to eat at a great restaurant I'll just run a bigger deficit the other days that way I can enjoy myself.

I just started taking iron supplements because I knew I wasn't getting enough iron (I didn't eat things with iron in it and I run a bunch) but I'm planning on getting tested soon anyway.

If you are anorexic or bulimic, please see a doctor. Make sure you get the right nutrients your body needs in order to stay healthy. Cutting back calories and doing cardio is fine, but unhealthy dieting will make you look gross and possibly dead.

When you fast/restrict low for a long period of time you don't gain all the weight back, I lost at least 30 pounds doing it at the height of my ED. What you do gain is water or food weight, since when you fast or restrict low you eat less food. You don't gain weight for not eating, and your metabolism may slow down a bit but not enough to actually make a difference. Also, by fasting you lose weight which also lowers your TDEE so obviously you'll gain some weight back if you pig out. I used to be really lazy about counting calories (not counting vegetables, sauces, for a while i wasn't counting butter and cooking oil) and unsurprisingly was barely losing any weight. That was until I started doing 2468 and became extremely rigid. I lost 20 lbs in about a month and a half on 2468, but January ended up being full of binging and purging so I'm sure I gained some back.

I'm trying to just do a 500 calorie deficit and take it slow but my past experiences make me feel like it's not gonna do anything and it all just feels hopeless right now. I gotta stick with it but I know that I won't know it's working and my anxieties won't be qualmed until about 2 weeks in. Trying to hang in there and resist the temptation to either give up and binge or start starving myself again.

Sorry for blogposting but writing this down helped me collect my thoughts.

I've been going for a few weeks with maybe 1300 kcal a day, and Losertown thinks I should get at least 1000 more if I want to sustain my weight, so on that front everything is fine. On the other hand, my sister and I are both going through some nasty mental stuff, so our parents decided to cheer us up by inviting both to their place for pancakes. I think the idea is very sweet and it warms me up inside, but it also makes me feel fat in advance. Ive got a bad problem, since like the beginning of the year I've been smoking more weed and more often than not I get the munchies really bad and I just destroy junk food. My dad, a 2nd dan black belt and former owner/instructor of two TKD dojangs, gives me a lesson every Wednesday. He's a doctor now and doesn't have time for more than one lesson per week, so I practice what he taught me during those lessons on Monday/Tuesday/Saturday. no because it was only 4 days. it takes at least 6-7 days to really kill off all the healthy bacteria in you. You don't really need to build up a healthy system in your gut/intestines again by eating exclusively good food.
