Hi I have a question. I want to attach a patch to a jacket, but the fabric of the jacket is thin and soft while the patch is very heavy. Could this cause problems later for example when washing clothes?
The difference between the materials makes me think the patch might cause the jacket to tear but I don't know anything about clothes or fabric really so I came here to ask.

>> No.13058985

>>13058871
Considering a big patch, you may have problems if the stress on the jacket is not well balanced. You might need stitches in the middle of the patch to make the two layers behave as one. Fabric glue may help too.
If it is only a small patch I wouldn't worry too much.
You may have a problem regarding the look or draping if the patch changes the characteristics of the jacket too much, but only a test can show this

Hair clip. It was pretty much just a low-effort project I did because I was bored from my /cgl/ project.
The biggest issue with it is that the heat from soldering it caused the spring in the clip to loose elasticity, so for the next clip I made I used wire to attach the clip to the rest of it.

I don't think any kinda branding looks particularly 'clean'
And adding a brand tag to something that's not by that brand seems so counter intuitive, you are branding modified surplus item so that Acne has the credit, why would one do that?
And it's such an odd brand choice as well, it's not like they are selling clothing where the main focus is on the branding.
Make a map pocket or something if you need to have something that draws the eye in, makes some sense with the surplus item I guess, granted the functionality that high up is questionable and to someone actually using them it will look retarded. But I think it would still be better than random brand logo slapped there.

Not him but in the realm of bespoke clothing you don't need a complex pattern you self-important fag. Industry patterns werent even a thing until machines and amatuer garment construction became a thing. If you know what you are doing a pattern like that is more than sufficent there are magazines out there specifically for block designs you draft onto muslim and just tweak to fit which produces a superior garment than paint-by-numbers patterns (invented for basic bitch morons to follow)

Just use q lot of black polish, for optimal trench raiding aesthetic

Otherwise, just but a bunch of loose iron in a jar of vinegar, let it sit for a few days, then sponge the liquid onto the leather. Follow that up the next day with a mixture of water and baking soda to neutralize the acid.

I am trying to recolour parts of the drawing and the video was the first tutorial on the list. With chicken scratches I mean the grey pencil lines. The majority of it is lost when I use the fill tool.

>> No.13109197

>>13109110
To recolor a layer you'd rather use a hue mask (if you can do that in gimp, not sure, mainly use photoshop-which you should get if you plan on doing any real design work. Cc is a great deal), or at worst a hue adjustment. Changing blend mode is not the way to do this at all, if the tutorial you found said to do that it's not a good one. Fill tool is also really shit if you aren't working with flat colors, it loses a lot of detail like those pencil marks you're trying to maintain. If you want to make more pencil mark "chicken scratches" for texture, find a brush texture like that to use.
