I've been told that failing to wear sunblock as a white person is the #1 cause of wrinkles.

I'm 23 now and since highschool I've skimped out on sunscreen. I figured I didn't need it because I'll usually get a little red for a day or two then just naturally tan. I never get the really bad burns that my friends get. I think It's because I'm Slavic.
I currently have baby-soft skin and am the most youthful-looking of my whole friend group.

But am I fucking myself? Should I start wearing sunscreen now?

Fuck sunscreen. Long term daily exposure to (((petro chemicals))) is more likely to harm your skin and cause you cancer in my view.

I'm 38 and pass for 25 according to younger people at my workplace. The best thing you can do to not look like a weathered baseball mitt by the time you're 40 is to not drink alcohol or smoke tobacco. If you can, substitute weed for alcohol. Stay out of sunlight / don't tan / pursue indoor hobbies. The rest is genes.

Also, don't get married or have children. Good luck Slavfriend.

Sunblock and another "facial whatever care products" are legit, don't fall lemming pseudoscientists who never saw sun in last 5 years in internet.

skin cancer from not wearing sunscreen is way more likely then getting cancer from wearing sunscreen regularly

Which is why I don't regularly sunbathe or play softball or surf. I'm not a shut-in, I walk outdoors at least 45 minutes a day, and I have taken the occasional tropical vacation over the course of my life. Your body is designed to exist in the presence of UV rays, so let it do its thing (tan) naturally. Just don't overdo it.

If you don't surf, your life doesn't have value.

Figured I'd use this thread to ask,

Do the really low SPF sunscreens (like 10, 15) actually still let you tan while preventing you from getting the really bad burns? I can never seem to hit the right balance of time outside, I always either see no change or go full lobster mode.

depends

my family is from Ireland and the north of England, the kind of sun I've evolved to manage is nothing like the kind of shit I get in Australia. If I go out for a 45 minute walk over here I'll definitely burn

This. As an Australian with Irish genes my body literally can't handle the sun here. I have to wear sunscreen every day in summer or else i'll get badly burnt.

OP just get a matte finish sunscreen designed to be used on the face and wear that every day
