can someone answer, what's the point in this thread? More specifically, what's the point in posting pictures of incredible architecture where the style of the room is irrelevant because the architecture is so impressive? It's completely unattainable for 99% of /fa/ users.

Wouldn't it be more productive to post regular houses/rooms that have good quality interior design?

Giving my small bedroom a complete makeover, plan to finish by May or June.
I'm going to paint the walls white (they're light purple now) to better match the solid wood floor and doors, keep the furniture and bedding white, off-white and grey, add tall plants (big windows) and replace my bookcase, bed frame and desk.
Any advice would be appreciated, but I'd especially love some ideas for non-meme art to put up. Currently all I have is my sunhats and leather backpack on display, and a black-and-white world map.

is this just a nice way of saying interior design?

how much money do you make?
where do you live?

>> No.13056834

>>13056782
well actually i'm a spatial designer, but i usually just say interior architect so that people get the idea. Interior design is considered to be housewife tier and generally the industry is trying to distance itself as much as possible from that term.
interior design usually just referring to homes but spatial design workes with public spaces, small scale architecture, large scale renovations, set design, retail design, furniture design, exhibition design etc. Not so much homes as people associate with interior design.

started as a furniture designer but switched in uni
got into it by quiescence, was gonna study fashion at a pre schools but choose design for some unknown reason
currently i'm studying so not making anything but the average wage depends alot on were you work, if you work as an architect then you usually make more while set design is slum tier. around 300 000 NOK - 1M NOK a year

fuck hanging up pictures to impress visitors.
hang up things you care about, regardless of their intrinsic. your home, your wall art, derives its artistic value from the combination of the piece you hang and the fact that its your home.

whatever people on this board tell you, hanging up vidya fanart is fine.
having a picture of carl sagan above your door is fine.
having an apollo program LiOH canister framed and centered on an otherwise empty white wall is fine.

whatever expresses you is fine. whatever you aspire to be is fine. whatever allows you to feel calm when youre coming home super stressed is fine.
