Love the Visodate, it's on the shortlist. Currently wearing a Tissot myself, a PRS 200 that my grandfather wore as a beater that I inherited. Oddly enough I think the lume on the hour and minute hands are upside down. The ones on the dial markers are fine, but I always see the green part of the hour and minute shine under them, but not on them.

And yeah Im currently back at school but once finals are done and Im back home for break I'm gonna take it to the local watchmaker and see whats up with it. Honestly it's not a big deal to me since I dont sleep in a watch and the lume is kinda trash to begin with (I mean it's a decently old watch) but still, worth a look.

Do not EVER buy from one of these new minimalist brands (eg: fossil, MVMT, Daniel Wellingshit, etc). They use exactly the same movement and materials that you can find on a $15 minimalist watch on aliexpress. If you want a decent looking cheap watch go for Seiko or other Japanese automatic watches

Sorry, I'm being a retard, Fossil is a decent brand. However that post still applies to the other buncha chumps.

Fossil is trying, has some decent stuff regarding quality both sold as Fossil brand "swiss made" range or Skagen etc. But those are not cheap, so you can as well buy something more reputable.

Their cheap stuff is... cheap, and by all means worse than similarly priced traditional japanese brand stuff (casio, orient, citizen or seiko). Better than other "fashion brand watches"? Maybe in some cases. Most of them are made in China with who knows what movements.

Wouldnt cop.

How does the quality of Tudor compare to Rolex?

>> No.12980271

>>12980252
Tudor has had different eras.

Todays Yudors are very very good, their in hpuse movements are in some aspects quite similar to Rolexs and cosc certified. In past times they have used generic etasa movements, not bad but a bit less apealing.

There are a few videos comparing them at Youtube.

IMO, id never buy a modern Datejust or Submariner having the option of the equivalent Tudors for half the price. But if you "need" a Rolex Crown on your wrist i would not blame you either.

Probably some $2 noname day date. Could be a Seiko 7n43 or similar though.
