I usually have the same problem, only my hair is thin and becomes really flat and boring after washing it. I'm starting to use dry shampoo and it seems to give it more body while keeping it from being oily. I don't think it's very good for your hair though.

Also towel dry only and minimize products

Try using less shampoo. A dime sized drop should be enough for this length. Get some good conditioner for your hair type too. I have gnarly dandruff so I use the Nioxin Scalp Recovery line but its really gentle and doesnt strip a lot of moisture out of your hair. You could go into a beauty school/shop and get a cholesterol treatment too which will bring back some life to your scalp which is important for healthy hair. Use cool water to rinse and pat your head dry instead of scrubbing

Buzz/shave your facial hair. Straighten up/properly define your sideburn lines, shorten/thin the sides (a fade will work), and block the nape.

Get your hair wet, and immediately dry it off. Then, either part your hair and comb it to taste, or palm back (hands, not comb) your hair and straighten the sides with a comb so it poofs out less. Allow some hair strands to naturally fall over one side of your forehead for a nice natural effect. The latter option will look more masculine. I have similar hair (and also hate the surfer wave I get when it's long), so I have an idea of what works. The point is to make your natural details shine, not repress them with chemicals and annoying routines. A lot of the world would kill for wavy hair, so learn how to make it work for you.

Your hair thinning is not that noticeable. Honestly, just trim the sides more, clean up your sideburns, and acquire more volume in the top. For example, you can start using home-made sea salt spray in your hair to create volume, or any other options on the market if you want that instead. If you really want to fix your hair thinning, there are a number of products/chemicals available for hair growth that you can apply to your head to rejuvenate your scalp.

I suggest working on your skin health more as well. The acne is more apparent than any potential degree of hair thinning. Do you ever exfoliate your skin? If not, invest in a decent electronic exfoliating brush and buffer solution. Personally, I use a Clarisonic brush paired with Purity facial cleanser (or if I'm out, Glamglow Supercleanse Daily Treatment Cleanser). These can all be a bit expensive, but you don't need to go balls to the walls. There's plenty of alternatives that are much more affordable and do essentially the same thing.

Additionally, even if you have oily skin, you should be applying some form of facial moisturizer (NOT 'body' moisturizer) on your face daily. I use Aveeno 'ultra-calming' daily moisturizer. Never rub it in, always pat it on, and don't do it until you've exfoliated your face, or at least washed it. Additionally, never rub on your face when drying it off; pat it until it is faintly damp. That's a good time to apply your moisturizer.

Beyond that, keeping clean bed/pillow-sheets is important for acne reduction. Stay on top of these things I told you about. They don't take much to do, even if it may seem like I said a lot. You will feel better and look better if you follow my instructions.

Stop. Hot water fucks with both hair and sensitive skin zones (namely, the face). Use room-temperature water when bathing or at a sink, and clear off with cold water.

Maybe you can find it in greater quantities for a better total price too. Well, you're still young. From a genetic standpoint, it isn't that odd. Proper skin/scalp care will improve hair growth. Increase your testosterone through greater cholesterol/fat/protein intake as well as exercise. That will boost your facial hair development.

Again, just to re-iterate: pat to dry everything from your head to your toes. Pat on all facial products unless they specify rubbing. In fact, just imagine rubbing doesn't exist in your vocabulary anymore unless you're putting on a facial cleanser.

I had identical hair problems that went away after getting the right brush and really using it. Something like pic related is great. It gathers the oil that collects at your scalp and distributes it throughout. The roundness also helps with the kind of swooping curl like in your pic.
I don't know if it's the same for others, but the day of/after a shower always sees rather dry hair, so shower only at night.
But really, just brush your hair more and you should see results.

My brother showered every day, even twice a day, and was confused by how much he was breaking out (he just sticks his hair in a soyboybun). My sister showers every day and her hair is weak and thin (though mainly from the bleaching). I shower 2-3 times a week and have nice skin and soft, lively hair.
