With several seasons under their belts, the partnership between Owens and adidas seems second nature. But, even with the resounding success of Owens’ work with adidas, it is official that the partnership is coming to a close. While the three stripes and Owens have enjoyed working together across several collections, Owens will be ending its work with adidas following the Fall/Winter 2017 season. Instead, as seen on the men's Spring/Summer 2018 runway, Rick Owens has begun a new footwear collaboration series with Hood Rubber.

Hood runners look odd, they look like those cheap off brand leather shoes you buy in those tacky fashion magazines, the design really reminds me of exactly that, but some of the designs actually do look pretty high end and high quality, I would rather see ricky make his own shoe's and or keep working with adidas, his own shoes are usually very unique and interesting, I doubt I would actually buy them as a much as I would with his more down to earth adidas designs.. eh.

Looking at Hood Rubber's website, they've got some decent silhouettes and aren't afraid of using leather. This is a good move. Can't wait to buy the first release.
