... what?

are you some poorfag tryna trick a rich girl into thinking you're rich by wearing a thrift store suit?

Work. But leave the girl at home.

not how it works

Find a hole in the wall that has at least one good item on the menu and go there two dozen times until all the staff kiss your arse for your return custom and for the generous tips you have been giving them.
Then you can go there and tell the girl
>omg you must try the bagels and lox at this hole in the wall i found!
And all the staff will kiss your arse in front of her and it won't just seem like you're taking her somewhere cheap and wearing your suit won't seem weird.
Actually, this is way more expensive than just going somewhere expensive.

You're better off just masturbating rather than taking her out retard.

In NYC the best you can do in that scenario with that dress code is a decent Asian restaurant or something. You're still going to have to spend.

become a member at a small museum (cheap if you're a student), go to an event. lots of winetasting evenings and shit like that.

alternatively, student tickets to an orchestra or play or something.

you can wear a pretty casual suit/sport coat, just not like OPs pic lol

Here's a useful reply from an actual adult.

Try a museum or art gallery date night. First openings are preferable because they usually have a more active atmosphere, music and drinks may be served and there are other guests around so it's not dead silent and boring while walking around the gallery or museum, though museums still allow you break off into a more intimate area.

Most importantly these openings tend to be free, make sure it's for a more classical artist so you don't barge in over dressed.

I can't think of a time I've been to any gallery or museum and there wasn't a restaurant near. The largest art museum in my home town has a restaurant attached that also has an entrance to the gardens.
The prices tend to be mid range 20-40 dollar plates.

The surrounding restaurants in the neighborhood tend to be more "hipster" or "bohemian" with cheap menus but you run the risk of being over dressed but it's up to you to set the tone, do little things like remove your jacket and maybe roll your shirt sleeves up. Your date will be fine if she's feeling over dressed, people will most likely compliment her when she step into the room looking magnificent. Sometimes there are restaurants with a more mature feel and cheap menu. I have a go to it's small and candle lit, the food is amazing, and they always have affordable plates.

What city are you in Anon? I can help you pick out a place, if you'd like.

Suit up, go to greenwood cemetery. Walk around with a bouquet of flowers and kneel in front of random gothic mausoleums and gravestones. If not, just visit Greenwood cemetery with gf, really cool place desu. Then go to industry city across the street and checkout the furniture stores and hipster food stuff.

im an artist from the western suburbs. this is an excellent method for new and fresh dates. also do some research on the artworks involved so you dont look like a complete ass.

Ignore the people sayin you can't be cheap and wear a suit.
>>12626621
This person is definitely correct. Museums are a perfect place to be well dressed.

Unfortunately my advice might be a bit biased since I'm a grad student but if you're going into academics at all, talks at nearby universities and stuff can be classy, espcially if the field of study is upscale or if it's catered to a mature/wealthy/pretentious audience. I don't have personal experience finding/attending these things as a non-student, but if you like the subject you won't seem out of place at all
