I want to buy a black leather strap for my Timex Weekender. Do I buy a NATO strap or a regular

>Is the led always shitty on these watches or did I happen to get a really shitty one?

what model do you own? do you really think it's shitty? because in my W59 (the watch on the right) the light totally suffices in the dark. I can read the time just fine. it really depends on the light circumstances around you though. in complete dark there is no problem reading it. if you think you need better light, you gotta buy the A168 because it has EL backlighting or the B640 because that one has dual LEDs and lights up the whole display..

I copped a Seiko SKX007 on Massdrop recently. First mechanical / not-totally-pleb watch. I plan to put it on a super oyster bracelet (pictured). Thoughts on this?

I'll also probably get a perlon (thinking light gray) and a couple of natos.

How legit is Jomashop? Bought a Hamilton King Khaki, and things just seem off. I need to get it sized, so it obviously doesn't sit on my wrist well yet, but I can't seem to get the thing started. In one video I watched, it seemed to be manual as well as automatic, but I can't get that going either. Lastly, and most concerning, there seems to be a jewel stuck to the case back. When the weight swings down, I can still see it through the glass. Did I get scammed, or am I just missing some details because I'm slightly drunk?

It's a Russian Poljot Kirova with 3133 chronograph movement. It's a Russian homage to the WW2 German Tutima/Glashütte/Hanhart chronographs. Well not sure if homage is the best word since the Soviets made this model since the occupation of east Germany after the war.

It's not a knock off, this model is based on a post ww2 soviet chronograph from the time he Soviets occupied eastern Germany and therefore aquired all the machinery, movements and design rights from the chronograph manufacturers from the city of Glashütte in Thuringia.
See pic related.
And saying the movement doesn't last more than 4 years just shows your ignorance. 3133 movements have been made since the 50s and many pieces can be found that have been working since without ever needing a service.

sturdiness and varied functionality. they are heavy duty watches. you barely can kill them. plus, they do have their own charm (call it adventurous if you want) and can be effay if they pop on your wrist.

I'm a wristlet but I want a Baby G or something.

It's a fashion brand, not a good watch, probably the cheapest Chinese parts and materials, but no reason not to wear it, if you like how it looks.

Personally I think it's ugly. if you want an opinion of a random stranger. Visible screws don't look good on any watch, 2 smaller dials overlap the 3rd, circle groove patter looks broken around the date and in general it just isn't an attractive design. And WTF is up with that 24 dial? A chronograph should have minutes, seconds and 1/10 seconds. Not that it would help, it's hard to read even minutes on that dial.

I was seriously thinking about getting a Ball instead of my Omega because I'm such a tritium whore.

What bothered me was Ball's lack of new models and the few new models were just new dial changes. I'm really worried that Ball is in their death-throws, by the fact that you can now pre-order watches kickstarter style directly from their Chinese ordering page and not attending basil world for two years in a row.

Believe me I wish it wasn't true, but if anyone ever wanted a tritium watch that is well build and not tacticool, now is the time.

I've got small wrists, and quite happily wear smaller diameter Seikos etc like the OP. However, I need a G-Shock like watch for outdoors shit, but they're all way too big for my wrists from general impressions. Do they make small ones for wristlets like me?

My collection is pretty shit tier rn but I love em. Bottom left is a carriage my dad got me when I was a kid, top left is the gshock I wear to work, 2nd from the right is a caravelle my girlfriend got me for Easter.
One next to that is a Laco/1925 that I overpaid for (180$ for a quartz), the 2nd and 3rd from the left are my two new Vostoks I just got two days ago, and the top right is a little 40$ Timex expedition I picked up at walmart

If you want a surprisingly good watch then grab a Parnis Portuguese off of Dajiwatch or other trusted Parnis retailers (there's a list on watchuseek). For less than 90$ you have an automatic accurate between 5 and 15 seconds depending on people, 40h power reserve + indicator and small second indicator. It is absurdly high value for the price (if a Swiss brand made it it probably wouldn't retail for less than a thousand dollars).
Only downside = no sapphire crystal. I also recommend you eventually change the strap down the road. Here's a pic of mine with butterfly clasp

You should get a Seiko G757 which is hands down the greatest bestest watch ever made.

Nigga he has $100, he can get GWM-5600 for that money. 91w aesthetics, but shock proof, solar, and atomic syncing.

this watch has pins inside. there are instructions on youtube. you can find straps on amazon but then again, you might as well buy a new one instead.

>>12502852
whatever you desire more. I'd get one with a metal bracelet instead. those don't break but you could also look at Lorus digital watches. they are a seiko-based company and they are gonna be very durable too. they might be too big though. looking at a child sized one right now because those are closer to the retro casio
ones.

I've been looking for a dress watch and I am almost desperate. You are my last resort /fa/

* Considered options:

- pic related
- Bering 11938-000
>>12503064 would be great if it wasn't automatic
- casio MTP-1183PA-7A (but it's probably too small for me)
- casio MTP-V005D-7A (does not really dress that well)

also something in the lines of Daniel Wellington would be interesting, but I don't think their price is fair. Unbranded replicas are out of the question because I don't want to be perceived as that kind of guy.

* Desired characteristics:

My wrist size is 6.3 inches. So I think the perfect size would be 39 or 40 mm.

I just want something as simple as possible that does not have extra stuff.

- Only three hands and I don't mind if the numbers are also missing.
- A watch with a metal or a leather strap.
- All colours are welcome except for gold or rose gold.
- Something that will last at least 5 years (I take good care of my things anyway)

My budget is < 90 € but I would really really want to stay below 60 €

It seems the simpler the watch the more expensive they are! I've seen some really hideous things in my price range that would be decent if they didn't have so much additions. I thought it was reasonable that the less stuff a watch has the cheaper it would be.
