I've been here for a few weeks and I noticed that most (if not all) subscribe to the idea that when you eat and don't make sure to burn the energy once it's been sufficiently digested to enter your bloodstream, that's when you put on weight. I think that's nonsense. The liver can store a lot of energy - 1.500 to 2000 kcal according to https://breakingmuscle.com/learn/understanding-glycolysis-what-it-is-and-how-to-feed-it . It's a pretty significant "buffer" to forget in the weight loss equation.
I suppose the liver is probably the reason why the first days of being at a deficit don't even feel like being at a deficit at all: because you're using the energy in your liver. That's what I feel like, anyway.
This conviction makes it easier for me to calm my tits after a binge, because I know at least I'll have plenty of energy ready to use, so it won't be very hard to burn the calorie surplus.
What's your take on this? Are binges equally catastrophic none the less?

Some things i like to keep handy for when i'm hungry
hard-boiled eggs (make like 10 at a time for a week): cut two in half, sprinkle some mustard and salt and pepper on them, v filling.
Soy nuts (5lbs for $20 and v filling)
salsa is like 0 calories for a sauce on stuff.
A salad every day (v filling)


Just make sure to remind yourself every day (weekends are hardest) to put a little bit of thought into what you're eating calorie-wise. It's easy and unhealthy to obsess about it once or twice a week and try to starve yourself for a day, but a lot more fulfilling and realistic to have a sustainable plan that you gently remind yourself of every day. This means preparing meals for the next day/week instead of just saying "oh I won't eat anything", which would just lead to binging.

Last tip is to try intermittent fasting (i just eat between hours of 1pm-8pm). it's very easy and helpful.

You look to be slumping and hollowing your lower back slightly. A goofy sounding but effective tip is to stand up and act as though a piece is string tied to the top of your head and pulling you up. If you keep moving your head upwards while keeping it level, it straightens your neck, which moves back your shoulders, which corrects your spine, which angles your hips right, which puts your legs where they need to go. After a while of consciously doing that, it'll get easier until it becomes your new natural posture. You'll look thinner, have a better defined frame, and cliche-cliche - appear more confident.
